To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Waste of money

The worst screenshots I have ever seen in a book, full of black squares, poor quality, difficult to read font.

Not a bad book, just already outdated and obsolete.

This book is mostly about all the workarounds and hacks that were necessary in order to write a 2D game in Unity3d , given the fact that Unity3d was mostly designed for, well, 3D development. Please note that as of November 2013 (yes, a mere month after this book was released), Unity3d now has a native 2d mode that you can enable on the very first moment you create your project. Other than for a few basic concepts, there wasn't much in this book that applied to Unity 4.3 and above. Don't pick this book up if this is what you will be working with.
