I would say that this story was a good follow up to the previous. The actual quick marriage did not seem plausible but added depth to the storyline. I actually felt moved by the ending, very heart warming

Angelina Lord needs to get to Santa Fe, New Mexico as quickly as possible. But it seems her new ride, Jace Blackhawke, the best man from the wedding she attended in Texas has other ideas. When his family learn he has a new woman in his life and believe the pair's relationship is more than it is, Jace will do anything to prove how important Angelina is to him. But as Angelina and Jace do their best to show their marriage is the real deal, it gets harder and harder for the pair to remember that their marriage has an end date. Will Jace be able to convince Angelina that happy ever after can be possible between them, or will Angelina's need to protect herself from hurt send her running from the best thing that's ever happened to her -- love with the right man?
The first book of this series was a delightful read with memorable characters such as Angelina and Jace, so I was really looking forward to reading this book and I've got to say that it was just as captivating and remarkable. The way this story started had me loving the main characters immediately, as Angelina is so focused on getting a new fashion boutique up and running in Santa Fe and nothing will stand in her way. However, plans don't always come to fruition, especially when it comes to men and the reason Jace is determined to do anything for family. Will Angelina go along with his plan? Will she be able to pull off how much in love she is with Jace, even if she's only supposed to be pretending? Will his family be accepting of the heroine?
As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories and I loved every moment the hero and heroine conversed, as the hero can be quite persuasive in getting Angelina to see reason. Jace's family are important to him and he would do anything for them, even if it means deceiving them to show he's happy. Moreover, the heroine is resilient, courageous and I liked how driven she was when it came to her business. Nothing will stand in her way when it comes to her expansion plans, certainly not the hero. I also liked that she was willing to help Jace, even though it's not easy for her to let someone in. While the hero, I loved how determined he was to win Angelina over, even though he knows it won't be easy. Her walls are quite tall when it comes to letting someone in and it's palpable she has serious trust issues because of her past and being a foster kid. I also liked how good the hero was at his job as a US Marshal and that he would do anything he could to get bad guys off the streets.
Overall, Ms. Holt has penned another wonderful read for this series where the chemistry between this couple was intense and had me enjoying the way Jace won Angelina over, even though there's a major bump in their growing relationship when it comes to his job, some kids he rescued and whether he would be able to see things from the heroine's point-of-view when it came to their welfare. However, in saying that, I liked how Jace won the heroine back. The surprise he gave her was special and definitely something that would show Angelina how much he cares for her. I would recommend The Lawman's Apache Moon by Debra Holt, if you enjoy the marriage of convenience trope, the fake relationship trope or books by authors Ann B. Harrison, Sinclair Jayne, Justine Davis and Kate Pearce.

Fashion Designer Angelina Lord was headed to New Mexico to scout a location for her new shop. She is finally on her way, catching a ride with Jace Blackhawk after the wedding of their friends. When they take shelter from a storm, Jace takes the only available room. When a chance encounter with someone from home results in a misunderstanding that shows just how much of a small town Santa Fe is, Jace convinces Angelina that a marriage of convenience is the only way to keep gossip at bay and help with her new business. It will also keep his Aunt happy.
I loved these two characters and the way they work to build a relationship despite their plan to end the relationship when Angie moves on. The way these characters were written brings them alive. I really enjoyed Jace and a look at his family and this heritage. Angie is a character that was easy to love, especially once you found out what makes her tick. These two together are spectacular. There is so much emotion and so much from the past that has shaped these two. The author's descriptions of the area make me want to jump in the car and drive to Santa Fe to experience it myself.
This is my first experience with Debra Holt, and I definitely want to go back and read the first in this series. If it was as good as this one, I don't want to miss it!

I adored nearly everything about this marriage of convenience story. Second in the Texas Lawmen series, the story is actually set mostly in Santa Fe New Mexico. Debra Holt has done a marvellous job of describing what sounds like a beautiful city in a beautiful part of America. I've fallen in love with that part of the world sight unseen both because of the architecture and scenery she has described so vividly and because of the Apache cultural tidbits she has woven through the story.
Jace and Angie are both well developed characters, each with their own set of personality quirks, talents and insecurity. The plot, which is appropriately paced throughout, kept me turning the pages and I'm now looking forward to book number three.

I enjoyed this story.
It's a comedy of errors, when Jace and Angelina are mistaken for a newly married couple at a hotel out of town.
Knowing word will get back to the family quicker than a brush fire, Jace does the only thing he think of...he marries Angelina!

Very sweet romance. Angelina gets a lift to Sante Fe with Jace. They have a similar background but Jace doesn't know the whole truth about Angie. Just needs an awesome aunt to point out where he went wrong. Very sweet with only minor heat level.

Another really good read, as well written as the first in series, but somehow sexier.
