Product Description

There's more Maggie to love as pregnancy expands her waistline and shortens her temper. And now the hag has to deal with the holidays too? If this is the most wonderful time of the year, somebody goofed.

Jackie Parker's marriage is on the rocks, and we're not talking ice here. Tis' the season for a happy family, but Jackie just wants to ride this Christmas out alone with her dog, her monkey and her remote control. Unfortunately the Dark Prince has other plans.

Miami is a hotbed of criminal activity, but no one expects to be robbed by Santa himself! With the big jolly man in the bright red suit doing a few B&E's in the neighborhood, Maggie's vacation is soon swapped out for a criminal investigation. And she's teaming up with a new neurotic partner. Holiday hilarity ensues when Damaged Goods and the Laundry Hag join forces for a takedown you won't want to miss!

Well they get to stay in the Prince of Darknesses house and Maggie teams up with Jackie for some fun slightly safe sleuthing and as readers we get a jam packed hilarious holiday read.

5.0 out of 5 stars I did not matter that I did not know Maggie in advance as it was easy to get into the story 3 November 2015

Although I (still!) have not started the Laundry Hag-series, The Damaged Goods-series is one of my favorites. I did not matter that I did not know Maggie in advance as it was easy to get into the story.

The story is told in alternating chapters from Maggie and Jackie's POV. They both need a distraction. Maggie from her pregnancy and Jackie from her failing marriage and her thoughts of Logan. They team up to find the Santa burglar who robs houses so close to Christmas.

Those two women are a hoot and I would love to read another adventure about them. But I also loved reading more about Jackie and her two Parker men. It is such a difficult triangle and my heart was crying for all of them.

I cannot wait until the next Damaged Goods book is published 'Cure or Die'. I believe it is the last one so I am crossing my fingers for a very very good ending. I must say that I ship Jackie/Logan like crazy!

And I have placed the Laundry Hag-series on my TBR pile (sigh).

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! 3 November 2015

What happens when two of my favorite cozy mysteries leads get together? Heaven! Presented in alternating chapters, Maggie of Laundry Hags fame and Jackie from the Damaged Property series meet for the first time and fit together perfectly. While Jackie is down about dealing with her alienation from Luke and Logan's disappearance, Maggie feels that she has lost herself in this unplanned pregnancy. She is going stir crazy because she can't do any of the stuff she enjoys for fear that she might injure the child, BUT when a mystery begs to be solved, she and Jackie are both not only ready to heed the call, they both need it. I am ready to read it again and of course even more ready for the next book in each series.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! While I always think that a series is best if read in order, I believe that Ms Hart provides enough background that a new reader would enjoy the book greatly.
5.0 out of 5 stars a MUST-READ crossover! 13 December 2015

All of my favorite characters from two of my favorite series'? What's not to love!? The cast of the Damaged Goods series meets the cast of The Misadventures of the Laundry Hag series with all the humor, mystery, and sarcasm you've come to love and expect from this author. I was lucky enough (and THRILLED) to have a character named after myself in this book and I just love the results. Santa is robbing people!? Yep, that's where the mystery comes in. Will Jackie Parker and Maggie Phillips break the case? With the holidays here already it's a great time to read this book. While it can be read as a stand-alone, I HIGHLY recommend reading both series' from the beginning. You won't be disappointed! For those readers that are just discovering Jennifer's books and loving them, she's just as witty and sarcastic as her characters and LOVES connecting with new (and old, too) fans! Well done, Jenn, I'll sit here patiently and wait for the next release. Eh, who am I kidding? I'm never patient! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, quick read that everyone will enjoy. 5 November 2015

I love the Maggie the Laundry Hag because she is such a hot mess with every normal problem a wife and mother can have. You add Maggie to the drama in Florida that Jackie is having with too many men in love with her and this is a mix for fun and disaster. Maggie may be pregnant but that is not going to slow her down from getting involved with the mischief Jackie has stirring in her pot of life and between them they will figure out how to solve a mystery, get through the drama once again, and try to celebrate a holiday without setting anyone on fire.

Jennifer L. Hart always brings her "A" game to a story and this one is again a winner
5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous crossover! 13 November 2015

A great crossover novel. I have read the Misadventures of the Laundry Hag and Damaged Good Mysteries. What else could a reader ask from an author but to have the two female leads meet with their Merry Men and be able to read the story of what happens when they all meet. This was a fabulous read, full of adventure which created a page turner until I finished the book. I simply can't wait to see what author Jennifer L. Hart has to write next.
