3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad.... But not like the others... 11 September 2014

I truly loved books 1-5, this one wasn't bad but it wasn't a mystery and Lexi really was missing something in her character this time around. There weren't any laugh out loud moments and I found her best friend pretty annoying. Not sure but this book didn't seem as good to me as the others. Although based on the other reviews it could just be me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lexi is getting dumber. 26 March 2015

Camilla really lost me here and I am losing respect for the characters, especially Lexi. I mean how shallow can you be? If she looked in the mirror one more time or decided on what shoes to wear when she went to interview a missing persons family I was going to lose it. I do not like where Lexi's character is going. She is supposed to be smart, sophisticated, and not take any **it from anyone. And puuulease, if she sticks her tongue out anymore I swear I will not finish the book, how old are we? the first couple of times it was cute and funny, now it is just annoying and reminds me of elementary school. AND is was so obvious who the stalker was and the ending was so obvious and predictable. I can't believe Lexi was stupid enough to not see it sooner. Solomon, really? How much more perfect can a guy get? He is too perfect, there is no way any real man acts like this. At least not the profile the author tried so hard to build during the 1st and 2nd book. I ordered number 7 in the hopes that this one was just a fluke and Camilla's stupid pills were a little too strong. Please Number 7, make up for stupid book 6.!

3.0 out of 5 stars Skip this one! 1 September 2015

Have to agree with other readers of this series. This one was just so-so, and it is sooooo easy to predict the outcome! It's obvious from the start. How sad because all the previous books were so entertaining - very funny, very suspenseful and very sexy! I couldn't wait to read each one of them and was never disappointed. If you haven't read this one yet, I'd skip it - you won't have missed anything. I actually wondered if someone else wrote this one or maybe Camilla is getting bored with the series and just continued to write it because fans wanted more Lexi Graves. Lexi and Solomon are boring together. Maybe it was better before they totally fell in love and moved in. There was much more sexual tension between them then. Now it's just blah - kiss, kiss, you look great. Truthfully, Lily and Lexi's mother's escapades are a better read - silly, but funny. And there's only one suspenseful scene in the whole book. I only gave this one 3 stars because of the one bit of good suspense. Otherwise, it would have been 2 stars. I have already bought "Kissing in Action", the next one in the series, and I'm going to start it soon. I'll keep you posted. I hope Camilla gets out of her slump.
5.0 out of 5 stars Serially Perfect 3 October 2016

For the past few days I've been on a wonderful adventure reading the Lexi Graves series starting at book one. "Laugh or Death" is another great installment in the series.

This time the Solomon Agency is approached by a broken hearted man named Leo who has lost his fiancée, Nancy, after she fell and hit her head. He believes she is suffering from amnesia and has some how landed in Montgomery. He wants the agency to help find her. Lexi is gun ho to reunite the lovers but Solomon is convince Leo is not all he says he is; so, what do they do? They make a contest out of the case. The loser has to take the other on vacation.

Meanwhile, a series of restaurant/bar robberies find Lily as a victim and ruins Lexi and Solomon's date night. Additionally , Adam Maddox is back in town as FBI Special Investigator. He is working a string of missing women cases and murder all expected to be the work of a serial killer. Soon, Lexi, Adam and Solomon see a common link and it is quite disturbing!

There are plenty of laughs and comical moments all intermixed with the mystery intrigue of the plot. As always, the myriad of quirky characters and family members is what makes this series so special. I just love and cannot wait for the next book. Whatever will I do when I run out of books in the series in a few days?

3.0 out of 5 stars meh. 7 March 2016

The longer the series goes on, the more the quality declines. The first two books were very entertaining and I was engaged and anxious to find out what happens next. But the books just are becoming repetitive and the character development of Lexi's mom and her best friend is lacking. Solomon has really become an interesting character and it's been fun seeing his softer side, but Lexi seems to become more conceited and shallow with each subsequent book. There is so much potential to make the ongoing storyline more intriguing but it's just not happening. It seems to be taking a wrong turn. I'm going to finish the series as I've already purchased the kindle books, but I'm hoping the next two are better than the last 3 have been.
