Product Description

They come in with the dolphins and leave with the Winter Solstice.

Soon after Brittany arrives on Oahu, she shares an ocean adventure with a pod of magical dolphins. The prophecy is specific. Two strangers will appear to infuse her with luck and love.

Brittany is ecstatic that life is about to go her way, and joyfully searches for clues as to who the mystical beings might be. Hawaii’s latest import is in for a rough ride. The moment she believes she has solved the mystery, Brittany is questioned by the DEA and learns that her latest love interest has the reputation of a hound dog.

As the shortest day of the year approaches, the fanciful young woman can’t imagine what the dolphins are thinking.

Extremely well done sequel. The family is not your run of the mill average bunch. The inclusion on the young neighbor across the street has added more to the mix than anyone might have expected. Add a relative from Annie's side of the family and all becomes exponentially more complicated. Enter the spinner things are really confused. Throw a bit of magic into the pot and the stew is to die for.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Adventure! 18 November 2015

Aubree Lane has this innate way of taking a totally screwed up, dysfunctional family and weaves them into this loving, unconditional accepting group you can't help but fall in love with!
Her latest doesn't disappoint.
After reading Early One Morning, I waited with baited breath for, perhaps a "Late One Night" - but it didn't happen. Instead, she took the Early characters and gave us Winter in Waianae, adding even more lovable characters into the mix. It can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend you read Early One Morning.

In Winter, we get a sweet love story, interwoven with a bit of 'grassy' mystery. Lane also gives us just enough romance to let your imagination take over - enforcing the 'less is more theory'.

This page turner, complete with the Hawaiian waters, spinner dolphins, intrigue and romance is a book I give five Hawaiian stars to and recommend 'highly'.......

Young love, mystery, intrigue, and a touch of magic to pull it all together. This is one of those books that's hard to put down; I know I couldn't. Having read Early One Morning, it was fun to catch up with old characters, and get to know new ones. The romance was sweet, and the mystery kept me guessing right up to the conclusion. Now, I'm looking forward to the next entry in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book, that everyone needs to read 18 November 2015

Winter in Waianae by Aubree Lane another great book by Aubree Lane. I loved reading about this eccentric family. They are a group of people that love and care about each other. I loved reading about the blossoming relationships as well as the more solid relationships. Brittany left San Diego to go see her sister Annie in Hawaii. I loved reading about Grady and Annie's new relationship, and what they could do together when they show each other love and trust. This was an amazing book and I absolutely loved reading it. I recommend this great book to everyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars She hasn't seen or heard from Annie in years but it has to be better than what she left behind 18 January 2016

Brittany escapes her abusive home and heads to her half sister Annies in Hawaii. She hasn't seen or heard from Annie in years but it has to be better than what she left behind.
Annie is married to Terrence with a baby of their own. A teenage daughter Ericka, who the love but is not theirs, the cross the street young man Grady who they adopted. Their family is widely made up of people they've chosen and it works nicely for them.
Until Ericka has a crush on Grady but Grady has feelings for Britrany....
Then the arrival of the magical / mystical spinner dolphins have everyone wondering what and who is real...
This book has love, drama, suspense, possible murder....

I thought this was going to be a standard love story; boy gets girl and happily ever after: NOT!

This is a story of the meaning of family; the meaning of unconditional love. And more surprisingly, there is a underlying bit of mysticism.

I found the writing of this story to be wonderful. The author carried the story with crisp and open wordage; no fancy words to look up. This story had constant momentum and a plot that twisted enough to make you wonder if of the characters were con artists or some form of mysterious visitors;
hence, the mysticism.

If you want a clean, fresh, and enjoyable story? Read this !!!
