4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not what I expected 7 May 2011
By Kris - Published on Amazon.com
The Last Kiss was pretty good expecially if you are into non-stop eroticism. While Ms. Garnier can write incredibly intense love scenes and I like sex just as much as the next girl, I guess I expected more romance and less erotica. I'm torn between it being just okay and really liking it. This was probably one of the hardest books for me to review because I was so torn. However I have to give the author credit for making me feel for these characters. I was an emotional wreck reading this.

Ben Newcastle died in a car accident and left behind his beloved Emma. Emma was heartbroken and hurting for nearly two years over the loss. All the while Ben was with her mourning the loss of his life and his love, never leaving her side. Emma could never see him although she always felt he was still there. She decides she can't stand feeling broken any longer, so she hooks up with his best friend Carter and while starting to fall for him, Ben miraculously returns to her but is not the same person she knew. Emma gets to have her cake and eat it too for a little while until things get too intense and she must make a choice between the two men she loves.

This story was heartbreaking to me. I don't think I ever cried so much over the ending of a book in my life. If you love erotic paranormals, this is definitely the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars This erotic book surprised me with its imagination and exciting plots twists. 6 May 2011

The Last Kiss by Red Garnier
Contemporary Romance -May 3rd, 2011
4 ½ stars

The Last Kiss was a thrilling and erotic read that is a sleeper hit! This book surprised me with its imagination and exciting plots twists.

This book starts out like a regular contemporary romance. The beautiful and vulnerable Emma is devastated by the death of her husband Ben. Two years later, she is ready to live again and is attracted to the ladies man and friend Carter.

Carter has always wanted Emma for his own, but because Ben was his friend, he never pursued her. When Emma comes to him and asks him to take him to his adult's Club, he is shocked but also aroused. It turns out that Emma is very attracted to Carter and wants hotter and wilder sex than her husband Ben ever gave her. Soon they share an unforgettable night of passion.

But unbeknownst to them, Ben is a ghost who haunts Emma's house and spies them. His jealously knows no bounds and he craves to discipline Emma and remind her that she is his. Ben makes a rash pact with a terrible witch to get his body back...

Emma is shocked but happy to find a real and alive Ben at her doorstep, but how can she to tell him about Carter? She still loves Ben. However, this new Ben is different, harder. Emma must choose between her lost love and a new one.

Readers who are tired of boring and predictable contemporary storylines will be fabulously surprised by this author's imaginative and suspenseful novel. Who will Emma choose? Both men are extremely hot and want to make Emma's pleasure their number one priority! This book was scorching. Emma wants to be spanked and is curious about the elicit `Club.' There is also a ménage scene. Curiously, although this book has a lot of hot loving, it never seems overly done. This is one steamy read with a touch of the paranormal that gives it extra danger and suspense. Loved it!

4.0 out of 5 stars engaging erotic romantic fantasy 3 May 2011
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Ben Newcastle knows he is dying from cardiac arrest following the car accident. He has one thought as he holds a locket; he wishes he made the last Kiss with his beloved Emma forever.

One year, eight months and seven days have passed since Emma Wilkins' knew her life ended when her beloved Ben died. In a Texas bar, Ben's best friend Carter Bates begins to bring Emma back to life, but also angers an already frustrated Ben watching his beloved from beyond. She asks Carter the "pirate" to spank her while Ben her "prince" vows to return somehow. When Ben makes a Faustian deal, he comes back to San Antone and Emma now has two men she desires. However, Ben owes the devil.

The Last Kiss is an engaging erotic romantic fantasy starring two strong males and a somewhat weaker female although some of her issues are grief. Ben is an intriguing character as he refuses to move on and in fact chooses to move back. Carter is a solid caring person while Emma is more an extension of the two men lusting and loving her. Fans will enjoy this strange exciting triangle.
