THERE IS NO WAR. THERE IS ONLY REBELLION.
Alijah's reign sweeps from Erador to Ayda. Those who would stand against the king are few, their numbers cast across too many battlefields. Does hope lie in the east? Can the elves turn the tide and keep The Rebellion alive?
The weight of Dhenaheim now rests on Doran's shoulders. Chained and imprisoned, the clans are shattered and spread across the realm. On the island of Qamnaran, they build to the heavens. In The Moonlit Plains, they dig down into the dark. Only the Heavybellys have the mettle to do what must be done.
Astride the mighty Athis, Inara Galfrey fights for The Rebellion as both sword and shield. With blood and sweat she has kept Alijah's forces at bay, but Inara knows there is only one way to defeat her brother. Following this path, however, will take her far from the front lines and into lands long forgotten.
After ten thousand years, the future that was foretold looms near. But Fate has one last hand to deal...

Sometimes randomly downloading new authors is like going to the deli at the local supermarket. (Stay with me, there is a point) On one day, the sliced ham is old and stale and off colour and even the dogs will hesitate to eat it. But other days, it is freshly sliced and fragrant with hammy goodness and a weeks worth is gone in a day. (without any help from the dogs)
So too is it with new authors in the sword and sorcery genre, you just never know what you are going to get until you get home and unwrap the package.
Mr Quaintrell’s ‘hammy goodness’ will have you staying up all night for just one more chapter of this fabulous tale. His characters (and as any dedicated reader knows, if the characters aren’t well formed then it doesn’t matter how good the story is it’s not going to be a good read) are beautifully crafted and easy to empathise with. They spring into life from the very first book and remain in the mind long after the last page. Words aren’t wasted on insubstantial filler and recaps, meaning every sentence advances the story and adds something valuable. The fight scenes are well thought out and simply brilliant in their realism in places. This is a bright and beautiful series from a gifted storyteller.
Mr Quaintrell is well on his way to being one of the best and this last book puts him squarely at the top of the genre. It is a privilege to have followed his evolution as a writer and such a pleasure to read his work.
I considered myself lucky to have been able to binge read my way through the series and to the final pages of book 8 and as fast as these novels have been produced, book 9 cannot come soon enough!
Having read the series back to back over the last few weeks, the world of Verda and it's characters leaves a vivid impression in my mind. As you progress through the books, so too does the authors mastery of his world and his ability to ensnare your free time.
Last of the Dragorn is no exception.
This book has love, sadness, comradely, loss and hope. It will make it hard to put it down, but to me that’s what makes a great story. I don’t want to write specifics because if you’re only just joining us I don’t want any spoilers, but I do so love this series.
Thank you Phillip

I cannot wait for the last final book to come out.
I can see this one day made into a series. An expansive one but would be soooo good!
