As the father of five children, who until recently attended public school, I understand more than most the need for this book. We do not even live in the most dubious areas of the country; it’s not like I live in San Francisco. Yet in the public schools, usually either no history is taught, or false history is taught. Certainly, in no public school are you likely to get an accurate, yet generally positive view of American history, which is what this book offers.
The function of a balanced, positive view is both education and unification. Education, most importantly, of our children, who otherwise are indoctrinated, by teachers (as well as the news and entertainment media) with hatred of America and everyone and everything normal and good. Unification, in that despite the constant efforts of the Left to tear America apart and destroy what made America great, if there is any chance this country is to survive, it will be because people, children and adults, learn and remember the real events and currents of American history.
I want to personally thank Professor McClay the service he has rendered to me, my children, and America, by writing and publishing this outstanding book.
