***** This item that governments, crime lords, and do gooders want to possess is a worse conundrum than the one faced by Pandora. In an earlier book Walt had experience with the thing, but now a credible professional with no sense of greed is in search of the thing. First Walt much decide how to deal with it, and then deal with the fallout of his decision. Along the way several pertinent social problems are exposed and the reader is invited to do some serious thinking. But of course there is always humor in the books!
Another excellent and stimulating tale! Of course I loved it!
George Kuch continues to be the voice of Walt Williams and the other characters.
Walt has a mysterious box hidden in his safe. He has been told it contains a device that can be either a blessing or a curse to mankind depending on who possess it. A Dr. Skinner comes to Kansas City and convinces Walt that he will use the device for altruistic endeavors. But others covet the device for more clandestine purposes. It is the classic confrontation of good vs evil. The question is: which one will possess the device in the end?
