I'm not sure I would rush to read another by this author. My favourite time change book remains The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier.
I was so disappointed!!! What a strange and unbelievable story, No real reason for all the regressing and living 800 years ago and the characters were so irritating. The sexual violence was totally inappropriate whatever era it was set in. I almost gave up but kept reading as I hate to leave a book unfinished, it was a struggle and I did do a lot of speed reading. No more Barbara Erskine for me.
For all passionate book lovers by this book and so what if it is long it gives the reader a chance to understand the story.I loved every second I read and to the author Barbara Erskine, thank you so much.
