Label Me Proud is a friends to lovers romance set in a small town and told from the male perspective.
What I enjoyed about this book is that our couple were everyday people working in everyday jobs. There are no billionaires, tech geniuses or “beautiful people”. There are no riches to smooth the path. It’s the story of a boy and a girl who grow up and fall in love.
Lee and Masyn have remained close friends since childhood. Their friendship has remained strong, even after an event that devastates Masyn during her high school years. Now, their closer than ever, spending plenty time together and even working at the same place.
But what happens when you can no longer keep your feelings for your best friend hidden? Do you make a declaration and hope they’re reciprocated? Or is it best to remain quiet and keep the friendship in tact?
As Lee and Masysn help their close friend Beau after his failed wedding, they come to the realization that the stress of putting yourself out there might be worth the rewards. This fledgling relationship goes through some growing pains but our couple come through the other end.
