AC/DC Live At River Plate was recorded in Buenos Aires in December 2009 when nearly 200,000 fans (over 3 sold-out nights) thunderously welcomed AC/DC back after a 13-year absence from Argentina. The two CD set captures the legendary grandeur, excitement and energy that AC/DC's live performances are renowned for. This ultimate live recording chronicles one of the largest shows from their massively successful Black Ice World Tour (where they performed to over 5 million fans in 108 cities in over 28 countries). The 19 tracks on AC/DC Live At River Plate span AC/DC's extensive repertoire, including old and new classics like "Back In Black," "Thunderstruck," "You Shook Me All Night Long" and" Rock N Roll Train."

The pressing is not great and when removing one disc from the sleeve there was some shavings attached to it and and the edge is rough . The first play had a distorted sound and I was on the verge of returning the album , but it plays ok now .Also one disc is very wobbly on the turntable .80's vinyl again ?
It is a shame the band will not play again (RIP Malcolm)
Here you get the favourites live like 'Back in Black' 'Thunderstruck' 'Highway to Hell' alongside debutants from the Black Ice album.
Its been 20 years since their last live album at Donnington and truthfully it shows !
The guitar playing from the Young brothers is flawless as usual and Angus does he`s trick of flying above the audience during 'Let there be Rock'.
But Brian 'Geordie' Johnson maybe its a tour to far, the voice isn't what is was ( even more gravelly than usual ) and after every song ends attempts to speak Spanish ( Muchas Gracias ) in he's best Geordie accent !
Thundering rock as performed as only AC/DC can , a set list to die for(I quite enjoyed the Black Ice disc),all the classics and a band on top of their game,no need for a track by track run thru,we all know them, suffice to say they are played perfectly, only Brian Johnson's vocals laboured but havent they always been?
Great to hear the crowd going mental, that's what live discs are all about,a moment in time, captured to be relived over and over. A great release at a sensible price, well worth buying.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and go out and purchase the Live DVD if you dont already have it . !! It's a must for all AC/DC and any other fans that love Rock n Roll .........
