This streamlined display features a slim bezel on three sides and no distractions from the dazzlingly precise, life like image while MaxxAudio completes your immersive experience.
OnScreen Control is simple and intuitive. You can customise your display options with a few simple clicks.
LG Monitors with AMD FreeSync technology reduce the tearing and stuttering that occur between a graphic card's frame rate and a monitor's refresh rate. Thanks to FreeSync, gaming enthusiasts can experience seamless, fluid movement throughout hi-res, heavy-duty games.
Dynamic Action Sync
Dynamic Action Sync Mode allows you to see the action as it occurs in real time so that you can react immediately rather than respond after the delay of internal frame processing.
Black Stabiliser Mode brightens dark areas and gives you better visibility in dark scenes. It can sense dark areas and make them brighter to help you find the enemy or game objectives hidden in the dark.
The Crosshair feature helps enhance accuracy in first-person shooter games.

The quality is HD and when viewed from a normal distance it is perfectly fine for almost all activitys. If you were buying one just for watching movies or working on high detail graphic design maybe you would want to look to the 4k version but the price really hikes. I did struggle for a little while to get my laptop (running windows 10) to recognise the ultra wide resolution, but that was resovlved with a little googling.
The screen is nice, its not boarderless but the glass runs to the edges so when its off it looks like it might be. The screen has a matt texture which defuses reflections which I prefer over a gloss overly reflective screen. Good when you have window and lights behind you. Its bright enough, I have mine on 50% in the day (bright room) and less at night. The control for bightness etc is a very intuitive joystick button which I love, no crappy 4 button control! The stand is fairly subtle and works well although I would prefer to wall mount it at some point. The screen has speekers which i wasn't expecting. They are not world class but still useful if you dont want to always use headphones for video calls etc. Perfomace wise the responsiveness and colour is fine for what I need (3D CAD design) again for specialist users requiring fast response/high spec colours you will need to spend more, but for every day stuff its good enough.
I did look at the smaller (29in i think) ultra wide monitor but I am glad i spent the extra on the 34". it is big enough that I don't wish i had more space but still fits on the desk ok. I would consider a curved one if by budget allowed, if I am working on the edges it does feel like I'm looking at an angle.
Comes in a very sturdy box, well packaged and easy to open. Alot of polystyrene which is never great from a recycling/environment perspective so hopefully that changes at some point.
Really nice bit of design on the back allows the stand to just clip in. Make sure its locked before you grab it by the stand though. The stand hides the 4 screw points for wall mount options which is nice (not that I can see the back of my monitor when on my desk). Not a fan of the power adapter, its a shame the 240v doesnt just plug into the back like most screens do nowadays.
i would definatly buy another one, I went for a single untra wide over 2 27inch screens so will see how that works for me but currently I am loving the aesthetic and function of this one!
It doesn't support dual input PBP or PIP although the product page on LG website makes it sound like it does.
I ended up returning this and ordered Philips 346B1C at the same price. So much happier and everything works as expected plus it has built-in KVM
The return system is terrible - there is only 1 service centre in South East Queensland (1 hour drive away from where I live now).
The replacement screen took a very long time, (granted there would be a lot of Covid related issues I'm sure), however, they did replace it with a brand new screen.
This new screen lasted two weeks before the USB-C charging stopped.
The warranty process with the second screen has been extremely slow and required additional proof of purchase to what was originally supplied.
LG Have suggested I request a refund via the original seller of the product. The replacement screen is still not with me and is likely to be another few weeks away. Covid disruptions wouldn't be helping with time frames but I needed a screen for my business (self-employed).
If the USB-C worked and the warranty process was made a lot easier for the end-user, I'd recommend the screen. But otherwise, I couldn't give it more than a 1 and wouldn't recommend it. Bit of a shame as I was a real LG fan.
There are no USB ports on the monitor. The built-in speakers gets the job done but are pretty bad which is expected for a monitor, but you don't buy a monitor for their speakers. Overall a great reliable monitor for the price.
Good looking monitor, easy to set up. Once played with settings, resolution very good (I found HDR mode best).
Paired with an iMac as a second monitor iMac is better resolution, but the LG not too far behind
Very happy with product
