This is one of the best toys I’ve bought for my dog she’s a Labrador Retriever and she’s a crazy chewer. Most toys in our house don’t last long but this toy is still alive. Definitely recommend for bad chewers.

The Kong Flyer is nice and soft, it flies OK but I am disappointed that the dog has already damaged the side of the flyer.

Really Great Frisbee - KONG vs West Paw Flying Dog Toys

KONG vs West Paw Flying Dog Toys
West Paw Design Zogoflex Zisc Dog Toy
I thought I might write a comparison between the Kong Flyer to the West Paws one as they are the better frisbees for dogs out there and I have had several of each. The Paw's frisbee is firmer and can be thrown one handed, and further, but I'm using both at the moment and I'm afraid the dogs prefer the Kong. The Paw's one claims it can float but I have two frisbees somewhere in ditches that say otherwise. That said it will float a little while the Kong was drops like a stone. The wider rim allows a better wrist flick and better flying, it's lighter but that counts against it strong wings. Over all both have equal merits but for the price- West Paw was £12 when I bought it and now have raised their prices to £18! King is more than £10 cheaper and (which should count as the most important thing) the dogs seem to prefer it.

Really Great Frisbee - KONG vs West Paw Flying Dog Toys
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2018
I write this as a dog walker whose used this frisbee with 4 different breeds, sizes and ages of dog and all have absolutely loved it. It's floppy, heavy rubber with a small rim- the floppiness means you have to use both hands to fly it with which you'll be sorry about when its wet and muddy. I've not taken a star away because the dogs love the floppiness, it means they can really enjoy swinging it around the place and fold it in half in their mouth. The weight allows it to fly steadily in high winds, just spin it into the wind. Because the rim is shallow you have to throw more with the arm and less with the wrist. The floppiness is also great because you can play pull games with it. I've had a Labrador bury it, chew it and my own collie drop it in the river- it stayed in the river for three days till it was shallow enough for my dainty dog to drag it to the shore, and pick it up without getting his head dry.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2018

These are awesome. 1st choice for my dog.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 June 2015Verified Purchase
These are awesome. My dog "Mac", Border Collie, will chase this all day long. He chooses this as first choice every time going down the park, and believe me with all the balls in the garden, he HAS choice :)
It is a strong and flexible rubber around 2mm thick. It fly's great, and he has not chewed this one up. I'm not sure if it's because he likes it so much, or he is too tired after all the running.
Unlike his balls or sticks, he refuses to give it back at the end of playtime, and insists on carrying it home.
If I try and get it back off him, he refuses. If I somehow DO get it off him, he will jump up on me until I give it back for him to carry home...It's quite funny.

Would I recommend to friends and family... yes
Would I buy again ... yes ( and Mac says yes too)

Lasted about 6 weeks - which is pretty good going!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2018Verified Purchase
Flies well and pretty robust - it lasted about a month with two 32kg GSP pups, one of whom lives for fetch. Both are chewing machines still.
I've never had a good throwing arm but I get this 30m/100ft or so down the paddock which gives Axl a good run around.
The original one is very ragged now after about 6 weeks about countless chews and I've just ordered a new one. Pretty happy overall and compared to some toys (we've all bought one that ended up costing £1 per minute) excellent value for money.
If they did a version that could automatically extricate itself from stingers it'd be perfect :)

My dog’s new favourite toy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2020Verified Purchase
Bought this to replace our KONG Cruncheez Flyer, which my dog loved. What I and my dog love about this new flyer is the way it “flies” and how this enables my dog to anticipate the “catch”. This coupled with the flexibility and softness of the material enables my dog to practice catching without concern for being hurt. It is clear my dog now absolutely loves this toy and it is now her new favourite toy.
The one thing I am not sure about is that the material is so soft and flexible I worry about it’s durability. So I put the flyer away when we are not playing with it whereas all her other toys stay in the garden.

Tough dog toy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2020Verified Purchase
The frisbee was bought, after reading the reviews, for an 18 month old Labrador that was capable of destroying toys almost instantly. She had never used a frisbee before, but took to it straight away & it became her favourite toy. It lasted about 2 months, eventually a circular disc fell out of the centre. This was possibly caused by the fact that she tended to carry it folded over, a bit like a giant taco! I have bought a second one & will probably continue to replace it, but maybe this one will last longer!
