Quality in Every Detail
Sometimes we give our pliers a really hard time. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long-lasting. Because we don't want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look.
The steel Knipex uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8 percent carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life — even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this.
Knipex also looks closely at the small details. The angles, the sharpness, the hardness, the toughness of the cutting edges. The precision and smooth movement of the joint. The handle design and the finish. We keep reviewing these subjects, we research, we test, and we improve our pliers.

If you don't have any Knipex tools in your box or bag and your wondering about the quality like I initially was...well your in for a pleasant surprise. These are truly superb tools in every respect, very impressed so far. While the rest of my coworker run Klein tools, which are really good, I have a couple of them myself, my core tools are Knipex. Again, I love the feel and fit of them, they perform, and the contrasting colors of the comfort grip handles grab your attention. Yep, these cats aren't cheap at all, but when it comes to Knipex tools, it's money very well spent. Love them!
Thank God for Knipex. True, it is not made in America, but Germany has outdone themselves in quality with the Knipex brand. Yes, they are more expensive, but trust me, Knipex will last so it is really worth the investment. I for one will not be buying any brand other than Knipex when it comes to pliers from now on!
