A pesar de ser economica el plastico se ve bastante resistente. Se ve bastante bien en mi escritorio.
I am an impulse buyer who has plenty of time at my desk to shop! Therefore I am always finding and adding new little bonuses to my desk at work. This item happens to be my most recent and def my most favorite at the moment!
I am at the front of our store and hate walking to the back for anything, this is including COFFEE! I realized my Starbucks allowance was disappearing a bit quicker lately so came the need for this machine! It has been WONDERFUL for me and 100% recommend buying. I listed my experience below and hope you love it as much as I do!
Filter cleans soo easy
Adorable adorable look on my desk
Ranges from 8-14 oz
I can take the filter out and add any tea bags or even get hot water to make soups etc at my desk!
I can use the K-Cups by pouring it out and into the filter. *NOTE about that is the k-cups amount is like 2 cups of whatever you're making so they will make strong if you pour the whole thing in for your one cup. I say this is a pro for me because I love my coffee and tea strong!
IT IS HOT!! Steam will burn if you open top up right after.
Coffee is also HOT (some can love this, for me I like warm) I just let mine sit for a bit
Short cord so you do need an extension
MUST REMEBER TO TURN OFF!!
Unless the many who have complained about this product all got duds, which I honestly can't pin one way or another given the quality, THIS machine is perfectly good, and if YOURS works and you're still complaining, you're expecting too damn much, after all IT'S $15! FIFTEEN DOLLARS!! Just leave the lid open when it's in use and after cleaning to dry, to keep wear on the button to a minimum! Pour in more water than you'd usually drink, to keep it from burning up anything and creating burnt tastes, and pour out the excess! Get an automatic power outlet timer if auto shut off is so important! This is a great item, could be a bit better, but for the price, love it for who it is! It's perfectly good! :)
First and foremost the top does not work well, either opening or closing. Despite my best efforts to break parts in, gently shutting the top, or even just leaving it alone, the just doesn't work. At first it would pop off the hinges in the back. Now even when I get the top down, by the time I come back to my finished cup of coffee the top is just resting on the top removed from the hinges again. When I snap it back on the hinge it feels firm enough. The basket on the inside (the one the coffee filter basket rests in) is tucked under the front lip. In order to take it out and clean it, something I only do about once a week, I have to get a table knife and pry it away from the lip. Minor inconvenience, but it's obviously designed to be removed much easier than that.
I'm thinking/hoping that I just got one that's a little off specifications. If I continue to have top cover problems it will have to be returned.
UPDATE : just tried using a paper filter in the basket and it improved taste - made it a little smoother and no grinds in bottom of cup, also easier to clean out basket. I cut the bottom off of a #6 Mellita filter to size of the basket. Fit pretty good. Sometimes I use this for my first cup in morning before I make a full pot which takes a while - Handy little coffee maker
It's cute and the right size.
Makes a good cup of coffee.
Saves on coffee using only the amount for a cup rather than a whole pot.
convenient to fill
What a mess -- you have to fill the basket really low to avoid getting coffee grinds all over the spout where the water drips from -- which then gets all over the water reservoir. It's just about impossible to clean that back portion out.
Not an auto-off. So you have to remember to turn it off right away.
If you are careful not to get coffee in the back or are a master cleaner of odd shapes, then it's great.
