Enjoyable to reread this oldie through Kindle Unlimited.

Actually quite enjoyable and entertaining.
Found Marnie a hoot and quite quick witted and smart.
But too similar to THE MERCENARY, the prequel book, with an ex lover having been a baddie, therefore poisoning the hero against trusting another female
Loved how strong Marnie was and enjoyed how Jake learned the truth and that everything was not as it seemed and he could really love and live.
Marnie’s family were great.
Hated all the unnecessary rubbish at the back of the book. I only waded through it as I know authors don’t get paid for pages read, unless you go all the way to the end.
Owned paperback version many years ago.
Reread this time through Kindle Unlimited.

Four days. That's it. This book takes place over four days but, oh, the goodness that happens in those four days is priceless. Warning: You will want to stay up later and block the world out.

Marnie and Jake unknowingly end up on the same mountain but for very different reasons. While she's there for soul searching, he's there for safety. She's there with her big dog and he's there with his big secrets. He has two rules he follows and NOT consorting with a cute blonde is one of them.

The sparks flew from the first words out of their mouths and many times I was either laughing out loud or shaking my head. As I read their story, I got to know each of them in ways that made my heart tug. She's so honest and brave and he's so scarred and selfless. Not only did the chemistry between them stay at a high level, the story itself was so suspenseful. Would she be okay? Would he be okay? Who were the bad guys? The overall question though was "Could these two make it in the real world when everything was over?" Again. More suspense.

The additional bonus of seeing the author's notes was nice but what I really enjoyed was the interview on how she came up with this story. You imagine authors sitting at home just trying to come up with a story and plot. Not this author! Read for yourself how she came up with the idea and how she started T-FLAC. Read how she sometimes researches WAY more then she needs to for her books but does it anyway. But most of all, read Jake and Marnie's story.

This is the Enhanced Collectors Edition, and I for one say its well worth it. If you want to know what goes on behind the scenes in your favourite book, this is what you get.

Cherry Adair has included all the things you want to know about T-FLAC, with secret files, character sketches, interviews, drawings and author notes.

All this brings the book you love already love, into a new focus. I loved re-reading an old favourite with all the extras, it truly enhanced the my reading experience.

I could go on about the storyline, but as this is an oldie but a goodie, just read other reviews or the synopsis. Or do yourself a favour, grab a comfy spot, a drink and an afternoon for a pulse pounding fun read. You won't be sorry you did.

This is one of my favorties of Cherry's books. I love the hidden fortress in the mountains and how the hero kicks a.x throughout the entire story. I bought the book when it first was released but just had to have the enhanced issue so that I could learn more about the characters. I read really <3 ed the entire story when I read it again.

If you want a on the edge of your seat book then you really want to buy this book. All of Cherry's books are great, but this one is one of my favorites.

This book has everything in it. Strong hero, even if he is a little cranky (personally I liked his cranky attitude) a woman that can hold her own against him, and a smart dog! I loved reading about Jake, Marnie,and Duchess. The danger at every turn, the interaction between all three of them and how they finally got over their issue and got together. Not only is the story great, but you get the bonus of reading Cherry's notes of these great characters and interviews.

I could read them over again with no trouble because they are interesting and just what I'm looking for when looking for a good book to sit down and read from beginning to end.
