First the positive - excellent plot and characterization, so much so that despite the negatives below I have already downloaded the 2nd part of the series.
While there are no typos, the writing was very stilted and somewhat amateurish.
Jumped from ideas in a very strange way - eg. Christian being appalled when he thought the governess was angling for a marriage to a peer of the realm, [despite constantly lamenting the fact that only fortune and title hunters had been interested in him since his accident] but then suddenly a couple of pages later thinking she would be a good wife without any segue or mental process to show why his opinion had changed. This sort of skipping happened a lot and was really distracting.
Innappropriate vocabulalry for the era - now I'm not a stickler for this by any means, obviously authors want their books to be an easy read as this is not a heavy genre, but lots of glaringly out of place words and phrases.
Two that stood out in particular "My beautiful, sexy hero!". and - from the heroine who is afraid and has only had abusive sexual experience with her husband, only moments after she was nervous and terrified [more of that random skipping ideas] 'God, don't stop. I order you, beg you, to make me come!"
