Champion of the Gods: Book Three

Dumbarten should have been the end of Farrell’s efforts to find his distant ancestor Kel, but the Six have other plans. Farrell is told to continue his search for answers in Agloth, the temple city to Seritia. Forced by the Goddess to ride across the vast continent of Lourdria, Farrell and his companion learn that Meglar’s reach extends well beyond the borders of Ardus. And Agloth, despite being dedicated to the Goddess of Love, is also home to a millennia-old curse that Farrell must end if he wants to complete his task.

Answers don’t come easily, and Farrell determines he must travel to the Dwarf Kingdom of Colograd to continue his quest. When an ally of Meglar’s threatens Agloth, Farrell cuts short his time in Colograd and rushes back to defend Seritia’s home. The attack seems doomed to fail, but the death of one of his companions distracts Farrell at a critical moment. Battling against his crushing grief, Farrell struggles to save Agloth, his friends, and himself. And even if he survives, he still hasn’t found Kel or his answers.

Fabulous! Andrew Q Gordon has continued my favourite LGBTI high fantasy series in a wonderful manner. The way in which he explains his worlds magic is wonderful, the lore and characters wonderful (I use that word a lot to refer to this series). He manages to continue to explore characters even after 2 books, and introduce new ones without confusing us all (always a possible pitfall of high fantasy, that Gordon manages to avoid). Thankfully I finished this days before the sequel came out, so I didn't have to wait too long. And even that was hard. I really enjoy binge reading this series, as it draws me in so seamlessly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must read! Book 3 of Champion of the Gods! 14 April 2016
By Happy Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I have really enjoyed this book and the entire series. I hate that publishers force writers to break up books into series and than draw them out to one release a year. I know authors who tell me the series is complete and just waiting for the publisher to release them. Anyway, Andrew Q Gordon is a great writer and I enjoy his imagination. Now I am waiting until next year for book 4.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gay fantasy that doesn't just fall into eroticism. 14 August 2016

Love this series. Gordon does a great job building worlds and characters. The nonchalant treatment of gay people us refreshing and welcome. The action is non-stop and the magic made my hair crackle. Can't wait for the next series in this world. (Please say the story continues in a new trilogy or quadrology.) 😄

I want the next book already!! Hehe #3 is just as intriguing as the first two! Mr. Gordon's storyline just ropes me in and the fact he can do it still after 3 books is fantastic. Highly recommend this series!
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced and exciting sword and sorcery. 28 January 2017

This is by far the best written of the Champion of the Gods series so far. The story is well written and takes completely unexpected twists. Good plot, good character development. I like that the protagonist has a few warts to make him more realistic.
