It was suppose to be a debt settled, just a price being repaid.
Instead love was born...
...from unpaid dues it bloomed.
See, that's the funny thing about love, you never expect it.

She was never part of the plan.
She was never to become anything.
She was simply a payment, and once the debt was settled, she would be nothing to me.

FBI Agent Devon Mitchell is trying everything he can to move on with his life.

Except he can’t.

After losing the one person he loved more than life itself, he struggles to carry on with the guilt and burden of letting her go. When a new assignment in his old hometown lands on his desk, he can’t help but feel drawn to it.

I wasn’t a victim. I wasn’t prey to the monsters that lurked in the dark— at least that’s what I told myself. Trouble had found me, I was sold to the mafia by my family. I was now property of the drug cartel ran by the Russian Mafia, and to be sold to the highest bidder. What happened was never to be expected.

Infringed featuring Alzerro King, and Bree King from Indebted, and Inevitable.

This was a great read & a terrific bargain. It deals with the mafia incl all their illicit interests & the FBI, the good guys so to speak.
Indebted & inevitable are Zerro & Brees tale, not one without lots of sex, drama, violence & tragedy. The pull between the two is sizzling. Of course she wants the bad guy to redeem himself. Does she succeed? You have to read it to find out.
Invincible is Devon & Tegan's story. Again it has the features of the first two stories but in this they have a past history, not like Bree who was payment for a debt. A second chance tale. Mention is made of Zerro & Bree.
Injustice is Jared & Isabella's story. He's related to one of the previous characters & Zerros former driver of sorts. Isabella is sold into slavery & rescued by Zerro.
The end novella is a bit of catchup with Bree & Zerro.
Overall all the stories hook you in with good character & stories. Highly recommended.

I just couldn't continue on with this. There was just nothing here that truly grabbed me, or managed to hold my attention for long with these stories or characters.

I'm honestly surprised I read for as long as I did. I finally decided to just stop in the middle of the 3rd book of this 5 volume book series.

So I don't see myself returning here.

I'm just glad this set only cost me $1.00.

Basically I wasn't feeling the simpleton approach here. Given the circumstances & what is occurring with these people. How dangerous things are, they were resolved in a very easy way. Even with how things played out. This approach/resolution just didn't match the circumstances & reasons of why we're witnessing certain things. I just couldn't believe it, nor could I get behind it.

And the fact that the characters didn't really inspire me to care about them or their plights, didn't help either.

It was too repetitive from one book in the series to the next. Was like reading the same thing over and over with only the names changed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wish it could have been more 29 September 2015

2 stars because the stories jumped all over the place and had no real base. If this was not a box set and free, I would have stopped after book one. I don't want to give spoilers but over the course of all the books, who goes into witness protection but prior to that the FBI has them stay with a limo driver?? And then says "they know where you are" but offers no back up? Or, go from a stone cold killer to law enforcement agent. Just over the top and not good read at all. Unfortunately I am not interested in any other books from this author if this is their style.

I couldn't even finish the book. I got about to the middle of the 2nd book and just couldn't read anymore. I HATED Bree. She says she hated violence but always talked or thought about shooting or stabbing or hitting someone. Like ugh shut up your so hypocritical
