Book Description
Review
Another fast paced page turner that will keep you glued to the couch...by an author who continues to standout in the increasingly crowded thriller field.-- "Examiner.com on The Forgotten"
Baldacci is a master when it comes to writing about small-town conspiracies and a lone hero who fights against all odds to clean up corruption. The narrative moves slowly, so the reader has a chance to solve the case along with Puller. It might seem straightforward, but the final reveal will surprise even hardcore thriller junkies.-- "The Washington Post on The Forgotten"
Readers expect excitement and intrigue in David Baldacci's books, and Zero Day is no exception...As Baldacci's new hero narrowly escapes countless close calls, the pairing of the author's imagination and knowledge create a wild ride for the reader. Puller is gutsy, brash and likable. Best of all, he survives to reappear in the next book of this new series.-- "The Free-Lance Star on Zero Day"
This book is a definite one-day, 'edge-of-your-chair' read, with an ending that is a complete surprise. One of the best Baldacci's since Absolute Power, this is one that will have all suspense readers enthralled.-- "Suspense Magazine on The Innocent"
Zero Day is a nifty, paranoid thriller disguised as a murder mystery, and Baldacci advances it at a speedy clip with a nice mix of intrigue, tantalizing clues and the occasional explosion...Baldacci's books are fast-paced battles between good and evil.-- "Richmond Times Dispatch on Zero Day" --This text refers to the audioCD edition.

The sixth book and so far the latest in David Baldacci’s King and Maxwell series. Former Secret Service Agents and now Private Investigators the pair as this tale proves do not have to look far to find their latest case.
A youth running down a street in the middle of a severe storm catches the attention of Michelle Maxwell. The fact he has a gun is an important aspect in getting Maxwells attention. What follows contributes to a series of events that lead to treason, treachery and murder.
From Afghanistan through Pakistan and on to India a father tries to get back to a son who believes his father to be dead. An individual sets out to exact revenge against a political establishment who betrayed a member of his family. The complexities and corruption of modern government are exposed as individuals seek self-preservation in order to retain access to political power.
Not really sure if Baldacci intends giving us more King and Maxwell adventures? The conclusion leaves that option open. From a personal perspective I hope that there are more. Baldacci has gone on to to write more books with different characters so there are no shortage of additional books to get from this particular author.

Highly recommended series, treat yourself and catch a suntan while you race around catching the bad Guys.

I think any fan of thrillers will enjoy this series. The term page-turner was invented for Mr Baldacci.
I would welcome another but if not then it’s a very good ending.
