I have read all three books in the "King" series and my title heading couldn't be anymore correct. Such a brave writer you are Scarlett Dawn and what an amazing roller coaster of emotions you took me on.
I won’t go into details about the story as there are quite a few plot twists that I feel are best discovered on your own. I will tell you though that the journey this series takes you on is unforgettable. Three days later I will still thinking about it.
The friendships Lily forms are to be envied and the romantic elements to the series is not without its hardships but totally worth it.
This book kept popping up in my suggested for you section and I did the unthinkable and judged a book by its cover. Yes it's a very pretty cover but I thought hey it looks serious and I'm not really in the mood for a book that drags. Well, I'm so sorry Scarlett Dawn, I should of read it sooner! This book has a lot going for it. I was interested in this world that was created, the tension between humans and Mys(mystical beings), the relationships between the characters. There was subtle humour that had me chuckling along the way and Dawn is not afraid to kill off characters, but don't fear, it reads in a way that affects you but has you moving forward with the story and realising that that's just life. I loved King Cave just as much if not more and am eagerly anticipating the 3rd and final enstallment King Tomb. Ps, please don't change the covers, have learned my lesson and love them dearly.
A captivating start to this series. It held everything you would expect in a paranormal book. The focus is on the four Prodigies that will become the future Kings and Queens of the Shifters, Vampires, Mages and the Elementals, respectively Lily, Ezra, Jack and Pearl. Lily has secrets which she has kept close for fear of being killed but after her mate is taken, she learns to trust her friends and fellow Prodigies!
Oh lily, I heart you so much. The friendships in this book are truly something to behold. I love that this story isn't about sex or just the male and female leads but the different relationships throughout. This book rocked my world.
