Cynthia Harrod-Eagles has to be the best writer of all times. I picked a Bill Slider book up from the library and have been hooked ever since. I am now 70 and these stories are so clever and witty and could read over and over. 100 our of 10 can’t wait for no 21 to come out

Not particularly gripping and certainly not a page turner. Lots of padding that is a bit tedious and doesn’t help things along

Although I have downloaded this and other books I haven't yet read it. Having said that I am a fan of Cynthia Harrod Eagles and have read most of the Bill Slider novels so I am confident that this will be of her usual standard.

I wouldn't read any but the first in the seriesReviewed in the United States on 4 January 2020
The most important element in the first book in the series is missing in all of the rest of the books in the series. Without that I wouldn't recommend this, or any other of them.
