Product Description

Bennett had the world in the palm of his hands when he was sixteen, then he allowed his dick to do the thinking for him.

That one night changed him forever, giving him a child that would forever alter his life, and an ex that was a crazy nut case on the best of days.

With the help of his parents, he went into the Navy, becoming the SEAL he always wanted to be. However, with that came a price, a price he wasn’t willing to pay anymore once his little girl started to realize why he wasn’t there. So he came home and joined the local SWAT team, starting his life anew, just his daughter and him.

Then he meets the cute little physician’s assistant that looks down upon him like one would an annoying fly, and he finally realizes just what he’s been missing. Something that takes his mind off of the challenge of everyday life. Someone that dares him to be a better father and cop.

And Lennox is one hell of a motivator.

Their relationship starts off rocky as the two of them circle each other like opponents ready to do combat rather than two civil adults. Every day brings a new battle for the two of them to overcome, and before they realize it, they’ll be fighting for each other instead of against each other.

Because there’s one woman who doesn’t want either one of them to be happy…especially not together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Hearing Bennett Story.... 2 October 2015
By Tina England - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Kill Shot (Code 11-KPD SWAT Book 6) by Lani Lynn Vale, I’ve been looking forward to this since her first series Freebirds when Barrett is a secondary character in Max and Payton story.

Fast forward to now when Barrett is a twenty-five year old single father to Reagan who is now eight year old. He joined the Navy Seal at seventeen years old, then after leaving the Navy joined the SWAT team in his hometown. You’ve got Lennox who is twenty-six years old who is a physician’s assistant at a very young age. From the beginning of their story you could tell they had some kind of connection. Yes, it was sexual at first, but grew into something more than neither of them thought it would be. As well Lennox is dealing with a crazy stalker during this time, while Bennett is as well dealing with a career, being a single dad and dealing with mother of his child who left after Reagan was born. I loved how Lennox interacted not only with Bennett, but as well Reagan who she didn’t mind being around.

Of course, you’ll get to see Bennet’s family in this story and of course the funny as always Payton. At first these two decided to have a friend with benefits, but they both knew it was growing into much more. Along the way they are dealing with Corrine which is Lennox stalker. I was shocked to find out the connection between Corrine and Bennett, but I kind of figured it had to be her. I’m not going to lie, I cried badly when I thought just maybe this was not going to end well. This group of friends has always had each other’s back no matter what.

We always deal with some series issues throughout this book with Lennox that at times it was hard for her to ask for help even though she knew that she needed it. In this book you will get the drama that comes with this story, as well the love and friendship throughout this whole book. Yes, you’ll get some really good sex scenes that fit this story to the point. I love these stories that Lani Lynn Vale keeps writing for us. I’m glued to my kindle from the first page till the last page of every story she writes, I just don’t want them to end. I enjoy reading a book about everyday life of an officer or medical person to see how they juggle everyday life with their personal life.

What can I say about this book? Is that you must read this book and find out how Bennett grew up to be a really good man, but also an awesome father to his daughter. I promise you’ll love it as much as I have plus Lani Lynn Vale never disappoints in the books she writes for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome Series 3 October 2015

So love this series and it just gets better and better each time. Gotta love all the KPD Swat Team, each one all hard Alpha male in their own right but when it comes to their women they love even harder. This book of Bennett and Lennox is my favourite out of the whole series. Here you have 2 people from different walks of life, dislike each other from the first but ended up being friends with benefits and eventually fell in love. Then along comes someone from both of their past to threaten their new love and had almost destroyed it. This is truly one of the best series i have ever read and definitely recommend it to all Swat fans out there, you wont be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars but I'll try my best. As always the characters are well writing with ... 3 October 2015

I apologize, this review is late!!!

Where do I begin!!! Do I start with the characters, the dialog, the hot sex scenes or the array of emotions embedded into this book. I'm not sure I can do this book justice with just a small review, but I'll try my best.

As always the characters are well writing with humor, depth and emotion. Lennox is a women, who when described looks like Olivia Wilde. Lennox values her privacy above all else. She has a stalker from her college days and has had to move around several times in the past. She is a young P.A and meets Bennett in the ER. Lets just say sparks fly with in the first couple pages of the book!!!

Bennett is a member of the SWAT team and a father to a young girl. He too is facing ongoing problems from mistakes he made in the past. He struggles with raising his daughter as a single father with outside influence from his sister and family. His sister Payton is from 'Another one bites the dust' Freebirds series. So it might be a good idea to read this book first for the background info.

I love how Lani is constantly updating her readers on pervious characters, the reader never has to guess what happed with so and so. They are always present in her books.

The dialog in the book is stellar. You laugh just as much as you cry. I honestly wonder where she gets it from. The thing with this book is the flow of dialog, it's fluid. I love it.

I feel in this book, that Lani stepped up her sex scenes. They were hot, sexy and a bit raunchy!!! I will never do down ward facing dog again and not think of this book. HAHA

I easily give this book 5/5 stars.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good story 30 July 2016

This is the 6th book in the KPD Swat series. We finally get to know more about Bennett and we meet Lennox.

Bennett has been in all the books but, for me, there was nothing "special" about him. Lennox is a physicians Assistant.

There's not a lot to say about this one. The end is really emotional and I admit I was crying but, basically, it's the story of love with a crazy stalker twist.

Good story. The writing has gotten better throughout the series, but I did like the book about Foster and Blake better than this one.
4.0 out of 5 stars This one surprised me, had a few twists I did not see coming. 15 October 2016

Bennett made a mistake years ago by getting a girl pregnant, but he never wavered on his love for his child and has raised her the best way a single father can. As a member of a SWAT team he knows his job is dangerous but protecting others is what he was born to do. When he ends up in the ER, he meets feisty physician assistant Lennox. Something about her pulls him to her and after another incident has Lennox meeting his daughter, he decides to see where it leads.

Lennox doesn't want a relationship, she can agree to a friends with benefits situation though and is enjoying every heated moment they have together. However, Bennett is slowly easing Lennox into relationship status even if she is not admitting it. When Bennett's ex makes an appearance tough and threatens custody, he has to put his daughter first and Lennox will do whatever she can to protect them both.

This one surprised me, had a few twists I did not see coming. Loved Lennox, she is trying to protect her heart with Bennett. Bennett is fully invested in all things Lennox, but getting her to understand it is a bit harder than he thought. Another fantastic Lani Lynn Vale read.
