Product description

Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Loved It: I'm a huge fan of Dystopian and Sci-Fi, so when I saw Kill Code: A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel , I was super excited to pick up a new novel by an author who was also new to me to see what it was all about. I was most certainly not let down. Sure, you may be thinking that you have seen all there is and read all there is with regards to Dystopian adventures, but Kill Code is a far cry from anything you have read in the past. This is a fast-paced and very fun read and you will most definitely be glad you gave this one a shot. --Amazon Verified Purchase

5.0 out of 5 stars Hold on to Life: In the year 2031, catastrophic climate change has occurred and the majority of the Earth's population find themselves struggling to earn a living, scavenging for food and oppressed by the rich elite class. The elite class has found that a world that is steeped in starvation is easier to control. Hogan Duran is one of countless citizens who struggles to secure a daily job and scrounging through the garbage heap in order to supplement what little income is coming into the household. Once a respected officer of the law, Duran, who was unable to protect his partner, was drummed out of the police force and living with his former handicapped partner and personal regrets. He, however, through all of his difficulties has maintained his integrity and decency. His only hope, for the last four years, has been to utilize his military and police skills within the National Security Counsel. The NSC is an elite special forces that was formed to protect the rich and powerful and entrance into this force is contingent upon passing a series of potential deadly entrance exams. The day comes when the recruitment invitation is extended to Duran, but there maybe more to the NSC than meets the eye. Added to the mix is a rebel group known as the Krails. Kill Code: A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel by Clive Fleury is an exciting and vividly penned futuristic novel that will engage the reader on every page. The plot is well thought out and is replete with twists, turns and surprises. This adventuresome and exciting read will most certainly grab the person's imagination and take the reader on a futuristic and stimulating ride of maintaining one's freedom at all costs. --Amazon Verified Purchase

5.0 out of 5 stars: Recommended read if you like the the hunger games type books. Great! Captivating, action packed and thrilling! This futuristic novel is quite short but so cleverly written. I find most shorter stories run the risk of missing the plot and cramming too much into the story. The pace of this book is perfect. Clive devotes the first 40% of the book to setting the scene of Hogans mundane life after the tragic end to his life as a cop. After the first 40% the book is suspense and action filled to the very end. The plot twists are great and not what you would be able to guess. I must admit after the twist, I read the rest of the book wondering if there was going to be another twist. I do not want to give too much away but when you read it you will know what I mean. --Amazon Review
