Product Description

Trent Carrington.
Trent Mr. Perfect-Has-Everyone-Fooled Carrington.
He’s the star quarterback, university scholar, and happens to be the sexiest man I’ve ever seen. He shines at any angle, and especially under the Saturday night stadium lights where I watch him from the sidelines. But I know the real him, the one who broke my heart and pretended I didn’t exist for the past two years.
I’m the third-string kicker, the only woman on the team and nothing better than a mascot. Until I’m not. Until I get my chance to earn a full scholarship and join the team as first-string. The only way I'll make the cut is to accept help from the one man I swore never to trust again. The problem is, with each stolen glance and lingering touch, I begin to realize that trusting Trent isn’t the problem. It’s that I can’t trust myself when I’m around him.

This is a full-length, sweet, hot, safe, second chance American football romance novel. xx

Received for an honest opinion.

To be honest I felt like the premise for Kicked was a little strange. As much as I'm all for equality and women's rights, I can't see a woman ever being allowed to play on a men's football team. That stayed with me through the entire book. Which is a shame because I liked the relationship between Trent and Cordy. I was looking for more of a resolution to their problems, the same between Landon and Cordy, nothing was ever resolved there, it just remained kind of awkward, which given the strength of their relationship was just weird. It was an enjoyable story but the original premise of it just didn't sit right with me.

Kicked is the latest offering from Celia Aaron and once again she has produced a high quality, compelling story that I found difficult to put down.

I loved the relationship between the two leads, Trent and Cordy. Both characters were likeable and the chemistry between the two was sizzling. The minor characters were interesting and really added something to the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Kicked by Celia Aaron....This story scored a touchdown in my book. I really enjoyed the story, the football parts were very descriptive and believable. The sexy parts were amazing and the story flowed nicely. Trent and Cordy had so much chemistry and love for each other, you want it to work out for them. Celia Aaron has won a new reader, I love her writing style, she hold your attention all they way there the book. I was given a complimentary book in exchange for an honest review.

*** 4.5 Stars ***

I have to give kudos to Celia Aaron, she brought college football to life. I was impressed with the fact that her "football star" was a female. Celia Aaron's knowledge of the game, tenacious research of the kicker position, and blow by blow descriptive plays made the book come alive. The relationship between Cordie and Trent was the perfect push and pull kind of relationship readers look for in a new adult romance.

Cordie and Trent have a history. They were skirting on a relationship two years prior to becoming teammates on the football team. It was the typical rich boy and poor girl issues that kept them apart. Cordie and Trent both walked away broken hearted.

Cordie is the first female kicker in college history. She became the third string kicker to appease the equal opportunity regulation in college sports. Her first love is soccer but personal finances have forced her to accept a partial scholarship in football. It doesn't matter because she is the MAV (Mascot With A Vagina ) rather than a valued player. Fate has a way of stepping in and changing the rules of the game. The first string kicker is injured and out for the season. The first string kicker position is open and the team is holding walk on try outs. This is an opportunity for Cordie to show her stuff and get a full time scholarship. Trent volunteers to help her win this position. He is going to train her and make her the strongest contender in the try outs.

Trent has ulterior motives. It's his second chance with Cordie. He knows he screwed up two years ago. He wants to make things right and make Cordie his own.

Cordie and Trent not only have to deal with the demands of the football team but also have to deal with every obstacle blocking their relationship. There are so many obstacles coming in so many different directions. They are going to have to fight for their love.

Kicked was very entertaining and put me in the mood for football season. Celia Aaron did a stellar job writing this book.
3.0 out of 5 stars A little too predictable 24 December 2016

Cordy is a soccer star whose father is a football fanatic. In order to possibly secure scholarship money, that she desperately needs, she becomes a walk on third string kicker. Problem is that her former flame that broke her heart, Trent, is the starting quarterback. They soon have to figure out how they can get along in order to get the team to a national championship. When Cordy’s big moment happens and it doesn’t actually go according to plan, she finds out Trent is more than willing to stand up for her, while working to regain her trust.

Kicked was a cute story. Cordy and Trent were fun characters and I loved the chemistry between the two, but the storyline was just way too predictable. Told from a dual point of view we get inside the minds of both characters that made it a little fun, but this really didn’t stand out amongst the sea of sports, much less football books that are out there. I’d certainly pick up another of Aaron’s books, but this just didn’t work for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars KICKED is a great, fun, enjoyable and delicious read! 29 July 2016

Kicked is so engaging, romantic, intriguing, captivating, with the right amount of angst and drama. The story is very well written and the character well developed, likeable and memorable, just like friends in real life will be, with their craziness and all.

Trent Carrington and Cordy Baxter's story is about giving love a second chance.
I can't help but root for Trent to win her over. He was so adorable, not the usual bad boy type we usually get on this genre, that likes to rubbed his fame and fortune in other people's faces!

Cordy is also a great character. She is so sweet, and I think she and Trent make a great couple. Their relationship took a while to rekindle, but I loved that it wasn't rush. I enjoyed following their journey and learning about their past relationship and watch a new one being reborn. This really gave me the feeling as if I've know the characters since their beginnings.

I look forward to Landon's story in the future, if the author ever decides to give him his own. Meanwhile, I highly recommend this great, fun, enjoyable and delicious read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story. 5 August 2016

Trent meets Cordelia in speech class as he is battling a fear of speaking in public. He is in his second year and she is a freshman. He is on the college football team as the quarterback and needs to learn to talk at press conferences. Trent is falling for her but he comes from big money and a controlling mother that is trying to force him to get engaged to the daughter of another influential family. Cordelia is dirt poor and has been attending college on a scholarship from the coal mines that her father worked for. Trent father's health is fading fast so he gives in and tells Cordy that he isn't interested in her like that. Two years later and he threw watching her from afar. He helps her to try and get a scholarship she so desperately needs. This is a really cute love story. I really enjoyed it and recommend to everyone that loves romance.
