Product Description

A sexy second-chance romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Nashoda Rose.
Can be read as a standalone.

A first kiss that changed everything.

Killian Kane.

He was the most feared guy in high-school.

Guarded. Angry. A fighter.

But when I caught him watching me with his captivating green eyes I saw something more. Something protective and kind.

He warned me to stay away from him.

I did.

Until I didn’t and he kissed me. A knee weakening, body tingling kiss that left me breathless.
And scared the hell out of me.

And then…

He warned me never to come near him again or next time he wouldn’t let me go.

That was eleven years ago.

We aren't teenagers anymore. He has probably forgotten me.
He’s a famous rock star now. I’m a dance instructor with a broken dream and desperate for a job.

So, when we cross paths again I don't expect him to remember me.

He does.

And his warning eleven years ago? I'm about to find out exactly what that meant.

The fourth book in Tear Asunder focuses on Kite and Savvy. Kite comes from Ireland originally and has a dark past, one in which his father hated him from birth and then living with guilt over the deaths of his mother and brother. He met Savvy in High School and fell for her light, as she calmed the darkness inside him. Scroll forward by eleven years and Savvy needs Kite's help and has illegally gained access to a performance to try and persuade him to help her. For the last six months she has struggled due to her cheating ex spreading rumours about her that are untrue. It's a battle but they overcome multiple issues to get their HEA!! Looking forward to Trevor's story next! Would be nice to find out more about Shield security and also Deck's guys:)

we finally get to see a new side to Kite one he keeps hidden but when the love of his life suddenly turns up at a concert he sends her packing but regrets it straight away so when he finds her dancing in the club he owns he takes it on his own to protect her but his feelings from 11 years ago are sitting on the surface he doesn't want her in his fathers path but it's inevitable and so is their relationship. My only complaint would be that there isn't a lot of happily ever after in the book it's mainly all lead up to that point. Still a great read though can't wait for Trevor's story

This is the best one out of the series. You can't help but to fall in love with Kite. He is definitely the sexiest out of the band members.

I think it would be hard for authors who write series. On one hand your customers want your trademark storylines, plots and character development but on the other hand, they don't want the same storylines, plots and character development. So what happens when we get to the last few guys from Tear Asunder? Should the women they fall for be broken and beaten? Will they have to fight to the death to get them out of hell? Are we supposed to believe that each of these guys just happens to fall for women who suffer horrible situations?

Well, in Kept from You, Nashoda Rose went for a different kind of heroine. Of course, Savvy had her issues, but in they weren't life or death.

To tell you the truth, I kind of missed the emotional gut punch. Yes, it's still emotional and deals with issues that were hard but I wasn't sobbing like a baby or needing cuddles from hubby in this one. I probably should be thanking the author...she saved me money for buying tissues.

You think you know someone and then you find out that what you thought was happening wasn't happening at all. Kept from You is all about Killian and Savvy.

They met in high school where Killian was a messed up punk of a kid who liked to pick fights with bullies and scare away the baddies.

Savvy was a sweet girl who volunteered at the school first aid office and always tried to find something good in everyone. They were so different yet they felt an immense attraction to each other. Nothing happens between them besides one very impressive kiss that haunts their memories for years.

Time moves on and both of their lives have changed. Killian is in a band and he's finally moved away from the one person in his life he hates the most...his father.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Brilliantly Shining Stars!!! 8 March 2017

I really wish I could leave Nashoda more stars because she so deserves it!! It was so worth the LONGGG wait. If anybody asks for an amazing series to read I always tell them to read the "Tear Asunder Series" it is just brilliantly written. This series is full of angst, hot sex, sexy frecking men, and usually has you hooked in the first chapter. Oh and they usually make myself ugly cry.
I just love how she has created such wonderful characters and how the books intertwine. You always get a glimpse of past characters and updates. It's like revisiting family, and yes that is what these group of characters are a FAMILY.
Just going to tell you now I think I am in love with Killian "Kite"!! His over protectiveness, domineering ways just melted my heart. And to actuated give your heart away to someone and hold it close for eleven years just priceless. One kiss and that's it. That is a thing of beauty. He does have some issues though. Can he overcome those issues?? READ it and find out.
Savvy is a beautiful character but very stubborn. She has lived life mostly alone and just dreams of family. Can we say blast from the past?? One kiss, an orchid and a note connects these two. Two altering atrocities, will they get the happily ever after these two so deserve?? Well hey READ the book!!
Thanks again Nashoda Rose for another amazing read.
Thanks always fangirling Jamie Nibarger Ellis

3.0 out of 5 stars Least Favorite 15 March 2017
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

This book was my least favorite in the Tear Asunder series and even the Unyielding series. It just lacked the drama, the grittiness, and the passion that the other books had. All of these characters have had some very intense things happen in their lives and this book almost felt like puppies and rainbows compared to the others. I think that is why I liked this series so much. It is unlike anything I have ever read. So for this to be the ending, I was a bit let down. It was good, but not what I was expecting. I will read Trevor's story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as well crafted as the first 3 books 17 March 2017
By Mady Rivas - Published on Amazon.com

This was my least favorite of the series. Kite was sadly disappointing - I thought he'd be darker and grittier - instead, he was just angry and introverted. Savvy was Tubthumping - she got knocked down, but she got up again, nothin's ever gone keep her down - and she was thoroughly good hearted, so she was - boring. The plot conflict was hard to believe - especially when Savvy got assaulted - no way there was no evidence left at the scene the way it was described. Last, it's been so long between the books, I only vaguely remembered everyone's stories (there are LOTS of characters in this book) so I was taken out of the story repeatedly trying to remember things from past reads. I'd still read it if you read the first 3 books, but I hope this series returns to a little more gritty place than this book drifted.
4.0 out of 5 stars Last 35% was quite different from the rest of the book .... 11 March 2017

Well, this is proving to be a difficult book to rate/review. Why? Mainly because I have a completely different opinion of the first 65% portion versus the last 35%. Obviously, it only makes sense to start at the beginning, where we find the main couple still in high school, so wish me luck as I try to elaborate.

Nashoda Rose picked us a good one, my fellow romance book-loving friends. This alpha protective good guy with a high school bad boy persona certainly had thorns you had to watch out for. Well, only if you were up to no good. Then he drew blood alright, the old fashioned painful way, with his fists. There was no misunderstanding the vigilante message he was sending. And that, folks, pretty much had me liking him at hello.

You didn’t have to tell Savvy, the heroine, twice to stay away from Killian. But like a bee to a colorful flower, Killian kept turning up and giving her that gorgeous steely stare. Fast-forward eleven years later and she finds herself a reluctant damsel in distress and who better to come to her aid than this now famous rockstar black night in black leather.

The First 65% Portion: With writing that flowed, we are dished out a surprisingly second version of Killian that couldn’t have been better. The guy truly always had a teddy bear heart beneath all that toughness. Fortunately for him, he also had a great posse of supportive friends. He also wasn’t one to flaunt or parade women around on his arm or in his bed. This avid true romantic at heart, especially appreciated that rare trait among rock star romance leading men. He kept his private life private, so we had the good fortune of not having to experience any past or present OW drama/comments. Well, not until the latter portion when what was likely intended as an endearing true confessions moment came across as not so much for me.

Though I liked the sweet sentiment behind his flowery nickname for Savvy, I definitely didn’t think it rolled off the tongue that well, especially during their smexy sessions. Btw, this heroine was definitely on the sugary sweet side.

If you’ve read Ms. Rose before, you know she often adds a very dark element. This one felt lighter than most. Sure, Killian had a sad, painful past but it didn’t completely overshadow the romantic plot. However, it did affect his judgment/rationale at times. Even the aspect of Savvy’s job at the club was presented as not being that big of a deal. Mostly because it was considered an upscale/class over crass type establishment. At around 70% naughtiness definitely kicked in (dirty talk/thoughts, numerous OTT smexy scenes in unlikely situations, and even some very steamy/graphic BDSM). For me, it was a huge shift change that turned this sweet/steamy heart melting contemporary read into an OTT very lusty, erotic one.

With an inevitable, predictable showdown, I was pleased with how things turned out. However, IMHO the 50 Shades of Gray element that kicked in full throttle around 70% and hijacked the storyline didn’t seem to match the previous portion at all, nor the overly flowery/sentimental writing that also crept in. For me, the best part took place as they were getting to know each other and realize their soul connection that even time and distance had not diminished.

Having really enjoyed Shattered By You, Book 3 of this series, despite its much darker broken heroine theme, I took a chance Ms. Rose would keep the romantically engaging trend going, and for a majority of this book she did not disappoint. But there were enough contradictions/discrepancies in the writing that left me feeling this one could have been a 5 star fantastic read but now only deserves 3.5. But this is just my honest opinion, folks. I certainly do not want to keep you from forming your own. Here's to hoping my review has been helpful in some way in doing just that.

Book .5 - With You
Book 1 - Torn from You
Book 2 - Overwhelmed by You
Book 3 - Shattered by You
Book 4 - Kept From You

Title: Kept From You, Series: Tear Asunder (Book 4), Author: Nashoda Rose, Pages: 296, stand-alone but part of a series, rock star drummer, dancer heroine down on her luck, second chance, non-virgin MC, tough alpha bad boy with a teddy bear heart, flashbacks of loss of a loved one, feels guilty hero, flashbacks of child abuse, heroine is injured, OTT smexy with BDSM numerous times in the latter portion.
