I struggled with my weight weight for many years. At my heaviest I was 60 pounds over weight and suffering from a number of chronic ailments including eczema, asthma, allergies and adrenal exhaustion.

All this changed when I started to listen to my body and pay more attention towards eating nutritious 'real foods'. I lost all of the excess weight and have kept it off for 15 years now. I also managed to heal my body of all the chronic conditions too.

I'm pleased to know that the ingredients are uncomplicated (not all that super food nonsense; just simple unprocessed real food) and easily attainable. I'm also glad that butter is in the equation (yay!). I found the recipes to be fuss-free and unpretentious. I love Katrina's Quick Tips which suggests other ingredients (if you're vegan, or to add extra fruits and nuts for variety). I'm already looking forward to trying the kimchi on Basmati rice and the juices, smoothies and shakes.

Wonderful recipe book! I love the easy to use and wonderfully fresh ingredients! Plus the organization of this cookbook makes it easy to use and gives great suggestions or alternative additions and substitutions. With the beautiful pictures, I am sure this is going to be one of my favorite go to cookbooks! I also appreciate the author's detailed yet simple instructions that do not assume that I am a professional chef. She gives simple suggestions that helps me to know what to look for as I am cooking to help me know I am on the right track! It helps to put me at ease as I am preparing the recipe. Which for me means, I will more likely be willing to give it a try! Beautifully done!

As Katrina's very proud Mum I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of her fabulous new recipe book......
Right from the start I loved the beautiful photos and simplicity of the recipes
I found myself looking at the picture, thinking YUM that looks delicious, being inspired to create it, glancing at the ingredients and thinking yes, I have all I need to make that
Simple and so nutritious
There's nothing out of a packet - just basic 'real' food that we have in our cupboards, or soon will have, if we are interested in looking after ourselves, eating and being healthy and creating these fabulous simple dishes
Well done Katrina! I cant wait to start at the beginning and try each and every one
