Product Description

Three people...three depraved plans...one inferno of scandalous pleasures.

Movie star Mitch Wulfrum is tired of deflecting the gay rumors buzzing around him. It's time to take drastic measures--marry the first trophy wife he can get his hands on. And beautiful sugarcane princess Kiona 'Alohi fits the bill.

Kiona can't believe her luck when Mitch offers a name-only marriage. Her overbearing father is dangling her trust fund over her head so she’ll dump her oh-so-sexy, but unsuitable lover, Nakolo. A bogus marriage to Mitch will net her both money and love, even if she can only have Kol on the sly.

What she doesn't expect are the sexual sparks that fly between her and Mitch, or, when Kol catches them together, the heat that flares between the two men. One wild encounter after another fans the flames, until they begin to dream that all three of them could have everything they ever wanted--and more.

A fragile web of lies and deceit are all that keep their wanton secrets from erupting into the public eye. Trouble is, one scheming photographer named Anjelee has already clicked the shutter that could ruin all their lives.

Note: This book was previously released under another title by USA Today Bestselling Author Titania Ladley, now writing as Josie Jax. It has been revised and reedited in this edition.

Review:
I'll come right out and say it: I enjoy a great love triangle but when it comes with few problems and more drama than a soap opera that could rival 'The Days of Our Lives', I have a tendency to want to avoid them. When I picked up this book, I knew I was in for something different - this is the first time that I've had the opportunity to read a book written by Josie Jax and it was a different kind of writing style than I was used to. This is the type of story that made me want to re-read certain parts twice just to make sure that I truly understood and correctly read the scene before me. Kiona, our girl of the hour, has one major problem - her father has control over her trust fund and she can't escape his clutches without it; until she leaves her current lover, there is no chance for either. Mitch, an actor, is plagued by rumours of being gay and needs to change the image if he wants to continue his career. With the help of his PR agent, boMitch and Kiona find the perfect solution: a marriage in name only. What the two hadn't expected was to feel a physical attraction for one another or that Kiona's lover, Kol, would be a factor, even a key player in the relationship when Mitch feels the pull between him and Kol. As the bond between the three strengthens, the cutthroat business that is Hollywood threatens to uncover and call them out on their secret. Now, as hot as this book was, because Josie Jax really knows how to write scenes that were appealing to the 'eyes' in the many menages M/M, M/F, M/M/F, M/F/M, I have to point out that I had some difficulties getting into the book and connecting with the characters - not because they weren't believable or the story wasn't interesting but rather the style was one that I'm not used to associating to this genre. Where Josie Jax was lyrical and beautifully spoken/written, I'm used to reading more gritty or sometimes more to the point phrases/styles (street talk). All that being said, I still enjoyed Josie Jax's Kabana Wild and I'm wildly curious to find out what else she has in store for her next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars As there is so many possibilities when it comes this story and I loved the concept the author had with these two stories 10 May 2016

By chance I came across this duet which immediately piqued my interest, two stories interconnected around one man Mitch Wulfrum a Holly wood heartthrob trying to deflect rumours and decides to get married. I knew I was for in for a bumping interesting read. As there is so many possibilities when it comes this story and I loved the concept the author had with these two stories.

Kabana Wild is the first in the series and introduces to most of the players as we watch Mitch take a trophy wife and instead gets more then he bargains for . Go to Kabana Island , get married and problem solved. That all he needs to do , Jager got it all sorted. It all simple

Except Kiona isn’t exactly what he expected in a good way and she isn’t willing to meet his terms.. He never thought he would be interested in his trophy wife who was determined to let life go on as normal with out her father in control. Her father Heloki has controlled all areas of her life since he made it rich and became a sugar cane tycoon. He expected the best for his daughter and holds over her head, her trust fund wanting her to marry some successful.

Mitch fits the picture, problem solved, right but things aren’t that simple. She love in with Nakolo’ Kol’ the boy she grew up with the foreman of the sugarcane fields, a man her father thinks is unsuitable to say the least. Kiona is stuck between two worlds, wanting to obey her father and do her duty and wanting Kol and have a simple life.

Until they all meet and things get interesting fast and things get complicated fast. One wild encounter isn’t going ot be enough for these three with the heat that is waiting to explode between them.

Could they all have it all?

I loved the concept as I love a good cliché novel but this was different. She took the cliché and made it her own, spinning her own version that would make any ménage lover happy. As her work was cut out giving these three an happily ever after. The tension was there and the sex was electrifying but there was the distrust and the fact her father wasn’t going to let her little girl go that easily.

Throwing a little interesting secondary plot involving a sexy photographer named Anjelee who was getting on Jagger neve’s a little too much, leaving readers to wonder what is going to happen in the next book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A fun, sexy holiday read! 29 April 2016

Kabana Wild is the first part of the Tropical Duet by Josie Jax, a new author to me. Set in Hawaii, this novel is a standalone.

Kiona is the CEO of the family business but her domineering father Heloki very much financially controls his daughter, who loves Nakolo (Kol). He disapproves of the relationship and spitefully sacks Kol from his foreman job because of his involvement with Kiona. To gain financial independence from her father, a plot's formulated to meet the criteria for Kiona to gain access to her trust fund, only this proposal turns out to be way more than Kiona ever envisaged.

Mitch Wulfrum is a Hollywood heartthrob who is trying to deflect the press away from persistent rumours that he is gay. Thanks to Jager Manning his publicist, it's decided he needs to get married to quash the negative publicity. A plan's hatched, yet details become complicated once Mitch meets the woman he is to marry.

I liked the premise of the plot a lot...a proposed marriage of convenience with both parties gaining from the legal arrangement. The idea's orchestrated by Jager Manning, who's not only Mitch's publicity manager but Heloki's PR manager. The contract has clauses that make this sham more intriguing. Kiona wants to continue her relationship with Kol and be a trophy wife for Mitch! Secrets are revealed which could jeopardise the whole proceedings.

I liked the inclusion of the Hawaiian words to add authenticity to the plot setting, but would have preferred less of them to avoid flicking to the glossary until my brain has familiarised itself with them! The author's writing style is sexy and imaginative, however, I'd like to have experienced more character development between the protagonists and Kol to gain a greater understanding of why they think a ménage is a solution to their dilemma, especially due to the legal binding of their contracts.

The story ends with a happy for now for the protagonists. Overall, Kabana Wild is a fun, sexy, quick read...a perfect beach/pool book for a hot Summer day.

Kabana Wild is a story that takes place on Kabana Island, Hawaii. The main character Kiona has a very domineering father, Heloki, who is a wealthy sugar cane tycoon. Kiona is the CEO of the company and fell in love with Nakolo “Kol” who was the foreman of the sugarcane fields. Her father fired Kol when he discovered their relationship, thinking he was good enough for her. Kiona grew up without a mother and tries her best to make her father happy. Her father controls her by holding her trust fund over her head.

Mitch Wulfrum is a famous actor who is trying to dispel rumors of being gay, which all the tabloids have printed. Jager is the PR manager for both Heloki and Mitch and has known Kiona for many years. Jager is aware of both Mitch and Kiona’s situation and comes up with the idea to have them marry. Jager writes a contract listing both Mitch and Kiona’s wishes/demands, but neglects to inform Mitch that Kiona has no desire to leave Kol. Kiona also neglects to tell Kol that she is going to marry Mitch as a cover to make her father happy, get her trust fund, and be able to keep her relationship with Kol without her father’s knowledge.

Kabana wild begins with Mitch and Kiona meeting for the first time, where sparks began to fly. Then, Kol caught her leaving Mitch’s house where the drama began. The book had a good story line, likable characters and some great sex scenes. The sex scenes were pretty hot, but not overly shocking. The sex scenes consisted of… MF, MM, MFM, and MMF.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and sexy 13 May 2016

Kabana Wild is fun and sexy ménage romance that I really enjoyed. I loved the tropical setting, the author transported me to this exotic paradise. It's an easy, thoroughly entertaining read that is perfect for enjoying on a sunny day on a beach somewhere (or in my case on a cold, rainy day in England!).

Movie star Mitch is looking for a way to stop the gay rumours surrounding him, and he finds it when he meets Kiona. When Mitch proposes a marriage of convenience Kiona agrees as it will get her father off of her back. Her father doesn't approve of her boyfriend Nakolo, so this seems to be an ideal smokescreen that will allow her to continue seeing Nakolo in secret. What no one expected was the attraction and chemistry between all three of them. Things get even more complicated when a photographer discovers their secrets and takes a photo that could ruin their lives.

I really liked both Kiona and Nakolo but I wasn't as keen on Mitch, it took me quite a while to warm to him. The dynamics between the three characters was fascinating and I enjoyed reading about their relationship. This is an entertaining book that receives four out of five stars.
