Wow! The Mail-Order Brides of Crakair series keeps getting better and better. You can clearly see how Ava Ross is developing as an author as the series progresses.
Kral is a fast-paced, action-packed read with tonnes of romance and swoony sweet moments. There are also more than a few steamy instances and an absolutely brilliant meet-cute. Add in language differences which will make you laugh out loud, and quirky alien creatures and this book is a winner. To paraphrase the heroine, Kral is like an "alien Conan the Barbarian". What more could you want??
Despite all of the action and situations the characters find themselves in, these books are low angst and loads of fun to read. If you haven't read any of the books in this series yet and you are a fan of alien romance, particularly Ice Planet Barbarians, please give this series a chance. You won't regret it.

A stoic Vikir warrior meets his match in a spunky Earth woman determined to show him what he’s been missing.
After she’s kidnapped on her way to the planet, Crakair, Mila’s not sure she’ll ever meet her arranged mail-order alien match. Until Kral falls—literally—on top of her during his heroic rescue mission. Who wouldn’t be attracted to a gruff, scaly green alien doing all he can to save her from the bad guys? But with space stations and ships exploding around them, it soon becomes clear someone is determined to make sure she and Kral never reach Crakair.
Kral has settled into his role as Kral the enforcer and Kral the loner, the person he had to become after his father was killed and he was forced to assume leadership of his clan. He signs up for the Selection, never expecting to develop feelings for his Earthling female match. Despite the danger they’re in, she makes him laugh and shows him that life doesn’t always have to be serious. But with an enemy chasing them across the galaxy, Kral will have to tap his Vikir warrior skills to protect his Earthling bride.
Kral is Book 4 in the Mail-Order Brides of Crakair Series. This standalone, full-length story has on-the-page heat, aliens who look and act alien, a guaranteed happily ever after, no cheating, and no cliffhanger. You can find the rest of the series, including 2 prequel novellas, Axil, Gaje, on Amazon.

This is a fantastic sci-fi romance between Kral and Mila everything was fantastic in this story but I was a bit confused when Kral’s age jumped from one to the other but apart from that everything else was fantastic. I loved the chemistry between Kral and Mila and I liked how strong she was she was not going to put up with being kidnapped and sold off as a breeder ohh hell no she wasn’t plus I loved the banter between these two characters it was funny, sorry guys no spoilers. Fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book.

This book was better than I expected.
I have read quite a few alien/human "matings" since I discovered them only a month ago.
But this was a little different to the rest.
Mila was your down-to earth human with an interesting vocabulary. Kral was the alien leader with the protective streak.
Together they made a formidable team against every obstacle put in their path to happiness - and consummation.

Mila and Kral steamy romance
Reviewed in the United States on 24 February 2021Verified Purchase
Mila is a mail order bride from Earth that was matched to Kral. They shared videos of each other and they were both smitten, and after watching her video he realizes that she is his soul mate. He decides to travel to the space ship bringing her to his planet because is is so eager to meet her to cut the time in half. Once they do meet sparks are flying. In the process other aliens abduct the human women, and then Kral is off to save her.
She is able to escape her captors and hide in the space station until Kral can get to her. They learn much about each other. He had an injury when he was young that never healed correctly due to a horrible fire that took his parents lives. She is a physical therapist that helps him with his injury. I actually feel bad for Kral with what happened to his parents and what happened with his Aunt. He is the leader of his clan with no other siblings. He treats Mila with the utmost respect and she him. They have a mad love, this might be my favorite book of this series. ***side note**** I love the humor that is written at the beginning of the book when the language implant is not completely functioning correctly..... and the back and forth banter with each other it is just hilarous!

Okay, Kral and Mila’s book was something else. At first I really liked Mila so much. Then when she met Kral I couldn’t stop laughing. Then upon the grand escape her pacifism idiocy just soured my stomach. She had to learn some hard life facts and truths to difficult way. Sorry liberal, you don’t leave your enemies alive. These people want to kill your mate, and sell you for a SEX SLAVE. you know what that is right?” BREEDER? yet you have compassion for these aliens? These scum? 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. You imbecile. Where did that get you and Kral? Almost dead multiple times....didn’t it? NOW, with that out of my system she did learn some hard lessons and once she did she DID step to the plate and do what she had to do to protect herself and what’s important to her... which was Kral and herself. So bingo bango and BOOM SHALOOM! Stars have been restored! There was a plot twist that had me shaking my head but once again I know this is a book so I’m hoping we don’t see people that should have been put down like the vermin they are in other books causing harm because they were left to live. I highly doubt it but in real life they would have been fodder for the animals. 💯. I couldn’t get enough of Kral and Mila and their growing relationship. They had such a wonderful chemistry. Also, what’s up with these women befriending deadly species? Lol firefly and chee-chee were awesome! I hope chee-chee gets a mate 🤣. A lil 🐒 action 👉🏾👌🏾 he was all for it and I couldn’t stop laughing. There were so many tender moments in this book that it just melted this 🐻 heart. I was ooooo and awwwww over the place 😚 hoo hoo🤗. We even saw another love connection which had me grinning! Also they made Kral’s village seem small but it’s huge! Also, on a personal note I’ve been belly aching about Weld and his dirt bike, if you sign up for the news letter you get an extra story and he goes hover dirt bike racing! Be sure to sign up for Ava’s news letter! Each one of these extra short stories are so good! I enjoyed them all so far! Bryk, Weld and Sadie’s had me tearing up though. I swear it was so sweet. As far as this book it was also so amazingly sweet and oh so good. 5 meteors from me! ☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️

Good Alien Romance

This one got a bit annoying with constantly going over Kral’s issues and what his aunt did and how he broke his leg and so on. I did like the injection of two new species that helped out Mila and or that Mila helped out. Other than that.... I have liked all of these books so far and I just pre-ordered the next two books. Each has some similarities due to the excellent world building but as to the characters each shines on their own. Each woman is different as in real life and exhibits real emotional rollercoaster rides with their man...oops Alien. The male motivation repetition was not present much in the first book with Vork and Evie, nor much with Byrk and Sadie, but in some of the others it got a bit annoying. Overall the story lines were good and different enough to enjoy getting to know this and a few other worlds and the varied characters.

Humorous

Some parts of this became almost too silly. But I have to keep reminding myself it is a HEA story And no matter how dumb it seems for couples in mortal danger getting hot and heavy while being chased by the evil guys, that must be the appeal? The redeeming feature is that Mia is smart and brave. Poor Kral came across a number of times as being dumb and neanderthal which was sad. A new feature on these stories is the transmitters twisting the languages. There are some pretty funny parts with that.
