Unfortunately, Keen has changed this beloved comfort classic and not for the better. The toe box is significantly narrower and no longer fits my feet. The shoes, overall, seems smaller and less comfortable. I'm now scrambling to order extra pairs of the original Presidio before my favorite shoe disappears for good.
This new shoe appears to have the same high quality as the originals, it's just a different shoe and doesn't work for my feet. The photo shoes the new shoe on the left and the original on the right. The new one is narrower.
In fact, I put them on brand new and wore them for the next several days on a trip to TX.
I had to get another pair (these here) as the fit is so good. I have a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough in the toe box area. I wear a size 8 medium, but so many shoes ( in the past few years) are not true to size anymore.
These are true to size and well made. Keen shoes don't all work well with my feet, but these do.
The only flaw is one of the shoelaces has a hard substance on it which makes it brittle and after only two lacings is showing it is tearing through the lace. I will be forced to replace soon, not acceptable for a $90 pair of shoes.
Pleased with shoes so will not return but would appreciate being offered a new pair of laces to compensate.
