My on-line quest took me to Nordstrom Rack, where I scored a pair of these for $55 (in a different color). I ordered them in my USUAL size: 11. Much too big! Then I ordered them in a size 10.5 directly from the Keen site with a 15% discount. STILL too big!! Now impatient, I ordered them here, with that amazing 2-day shipping at full price in a size 10. YES! THEY FIT! NOTE: I wear regular low socks with these, the kind you'd wear to the gym, not thicker hiking socks.
Surprisingly, reviews state these run small. Don't know what to tell you. Luckily, it's free shipping and returns, so you can try different sizes.
These are a nice weight - not too heavy. They also aren't really stiff, especially for a waterproof shoe. I'm just wearing them in, so have only walked with them for an hour at a time, and they feel great. In 65 degree weather, I do find my feet a tiny bit sweaty in these. Again, no surprise for a waterproof shoe. Can't attest to the waterproof aspect yet. They are comfy, plenty of (but not too much) room for my toes width wise. Be sure to lace these up tightly enough, or else your back heel will lift while walking. I like the neutral color, especially since it matches the dust and dirt these will see on trails!
This is my favorite Keen shoe so far in terms of comfort. I find myself able to walk more confidently in them (I walk with canes due to severe fibromyalgia and sometimes my arches will cramp - not with these). I wear them around the house instead of slippers for the same reason.
This pair says waterproof, and you can believe it. I was out cleaning my car during the most bitterly cold, snow-storming night we've had this year (wind chills below zero). It took quite a while, because under that snow was a layer of ice. I am extremely sensitive to cold. Not only were my feet dry - but they did not freeze, despite the fact that I wasn't wearing socks! I was genuinely surprised - far better performance than I would have expected.
