I thought I felt familiar with Hemi and Reka as they feature in the previous Escape to New Zesland books, but they haven't had a story in their own right until here.
It's a fascinating retrospective into how they first get together - and a total surprise!
This Reka is direct as always but not as self assured, although she puts on a good front. And Hemi is single, fresh into the All Black fame and frankly, just a bit too sure of his own charm. Well that has to change...
We're all allowed one mistake aren't we? But how about a second?
One of my favourite lines is from Reka - just because a mistake feels good, doesn't mean it isn't a mistake. Ouch! Hemi has some work to do.
You don't have to have read any of the previous books to enjoy this, It doesn't depend on any pre- knowledge.
Again, Rosalind James mixes in family loyalties, relationship insecurities and of course, some steamy scenes.

A best-selling artist at work if you like this genre.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 July 2019
Watched a webinar or video with Rosalind and loved her attitude so I bought some of her books - I was not disappointed. Will definitely read more of her work and hope I can find more of her speaking online.
HeavenReviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 September 2014
I just love New Zealand and love Rosalind's books - sit down, cup of tea and whisk yourself away into the land of the long white cloud - ideal chic lit and hunky men to boot. See if you can work out which All Black player(s) she's used for inspiration :-) Keep up the great work Rosalind - more, more, more - please x
Another great book in the seriesReviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 April 2017
As always, a great book by Rosalind James; she is such a good story teller and does her research well. One of my favourite authors.
