About the Author
During her high school and college years, she spent a lot of time dreaming about holding a book in her hands that had her name emblazoned across the front, but she did a lot more dreaming than actual writing.
At her very first job she was fortunate enough to meet her very own tall, dark and handsome hero, who happened to be her boss, and she promptly married him and started a family. It wasn't until she was pregnant with her second child that she found her very first Harlequin Presents book in a local thrift store. She'd never read a Harlequin romance before, and by the time she'd reached the happily ever after she had fallen in love. She devoured as many as she could get her hands on after that, and she knew that these were the books she wanted to write!
Soon after that she saw that Harlequin was running a competition to win an editor for a year. She decided that was her sign to get in gear and start writing again. So she wrote her chapter and synopsis and hit send with trembling hands. She didn't get any feedback from the contest, but it was the boost she needed to get her first full manuscript finished and submitted to Harlequin Presents.
Nearly two years later, while pregnant with her third child, she received The Call from her editor, informing her they wanted to buy that manuscript. She was very glad that the good news didn't send her promptly into labor!
She still can't quite believe she's blessed enough to see her name on not just any book, but her favorite books.
Maisey lives with her supportive, wonderful, diaper-changing husband and three small children across the street from her parents, and the home she grew up in, in the wilds of southern Oregon.
She enjoys the contrast of living in a place where you might wake up to find a bear on your back porch and then head into the home office to write stories that take place in exotic urban locales. --This text refers to the hardcover edition.

They had a one night stand and there were no other moments other than at the end, This was all about Nikolai explaining why he was this way, what had happened and his feelings.
It was a well written story for that reason i gave it 4 star, but Nikolai was too cold and too harsh affected too much by his past. I did enjoy it but would this be one to read again, Possibly not! I suppose you must judge for yourself.
Loved the book from beginning to end and Caitlin has definitely moved up on my list of fab romance writers.
The interaction between Nikolai & Alicia was wonderful! He was wonderfully dark & brooding & sexy as hell! She was feisty, determined & had real 'staying power. It's a shame it is just a fantasy & men like Nikolai don't really exist! Still it's lovely to day dream whilst reading the book!
Well done Caitlin - a winner as far as I'm concerned!
DEVIL IN DISGUISE: Now I really enjoyed this book the Heroine is my type of woman very strong, knows what she wants and goes for it, never intimidated. I love the story, all the drama, the chemistry between the Hero and Heroine. And most of all the fact that they did not just jump into marriage and they took their time to know each other. I really recommend this book. Good one from Caitlin, I couldn't put it down.
Ii the first story Alicia literally falls into Nikolai in a club, and goes to bed with him as soon as they meet. Alicia is complex having a terrible opinion of herself. Nikolai also has a self-image problem. He basically feels he is devoid of emotion and is highly sexual. These two have a rather unemotional romance on Nikolai's part since he feels he is incapable of love. He does not express feelings well and his point of view just lacks warmth. I felt he changed little whereas I really liked the heroine and loved the transformation she underwent by the end of this novel becoming more forgiving of herself and embracing a new and healthy self-confidence.
In the second Story, A devil in Disguise, the hero of this novel is so controlling that he is unlikable. Dru is the personal assistant to Cayo Vila and she is in love with him even though he sees her as just a competent employee. When she tries to leave he basically takes over her life and is threatening and uncooperative. I found him to be entirely too arrogant. Dru's loyalty to Cayo has required great sacrifice and he has been unappreciative. I thought this couple did not come to terms well with their emotions and Dru was way too good for her hero.
