Lovely slow burn...

‘Josh and Hazel's Guide To Not Dating’ is a fabulous page turner... I adore romantic comedies and this book was a laugh-out-loud roller coaster ride. Christina Lauren is a writing duo that never disappoints with their savviness, emotional highs, and passion for the written word.

Third grade teacher Hazel Bradford has been a bit weird all of her life, a very good friend, has five distinct pets, and typically says whatever is on her mind. As a result, her dating life suffers because after a few dates, her unconventional behaviour tends to be a turn off.

Josh is a successful physical therapist. He and Hazel met back in college, and at the time Josh found her to be a tad annoying. Josh is a workaholic, when Hazel blows back into his life, he is powerless to resist her love of life. Despite their completely opposite personalities, Josh and Hazel click - She makes him laugh - She loves his sister & his family. She makes his boring routine exciting...

If you're looking for your next great read look no further! So sexy, and a lovely slow burn. 4.5 Stars...

This was the first book I have read by Christina Lauren and I was pleasantly surprised. It was the voted book for my book club and I bought it without even reading the blurb.
The 2 mains, Josh and Hazel, are polar opposites and of course that makes this book all the more fun.
Absolutely loved and believed the chemistry between these two, and devoured the book because i needed to know what happened next. Will definitely be recommending this to friends!

Everyone should read this book! It’s quirky, funny and just a really good read.

I loved Hazel, her quirkiness was so endearing and I actually laughed out loud at some of the things that happened to her. I adored Josh for not wanting to change Hazel at all. Their chemistry together was off the charts and while I don’t normally like a slow build up in a book, this was so well written, that I almost didn’t want it to end.

I’ve actually kept it on my kindle so I can read it again.

I have yet to meet a word of Christina Lauren's that I haven't adored - and this is still true after reading Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating.

It is a rom-com, but it isn't really a rom-com if that makes sense? It is so much more than that.

Josh and Hazel aren't even dating... each other. I did laugh at some of the "double blind dates" they set each other up on, though even as they are on dates with others, you could fell the attraction between our lovelies. You can't help but want - no need - them to be together.

No better way to start a romance than by being best friends, right?

I absolutely adored Hazel and all her quirks. My heart hurt for her as she feel her quirks are against her. Be yourself girl! Forget what anyone else says!

I gotta say, I think that Dave and Emily - Josh's sister and her hubby - were some of my favourite secondary characters I have read in a long time. I could picture them sitting on the sidelines, eating popcorn and watching Josh and Hazel dance around each other, knowing where things would end up.

This book was just cuteness personified. It was funny, it was sad, it was just lovely.

I can't wait for what this duo brings us next.
