There are three see through containers with airtight lids that slide into a rack. The rack is similar to that found on other CupboardStore items in that it hooks over the edge of a shelf and is held in place by a 3M sticky strip at the back that sticks to the underside of the shelf.
Having had some Cupboardstore items mounted and in use for a couple of months, the sticky strips do hold them in place ok but that is with smaller lighter boxes holding herbs etc. Only time and frequent use will show how well these stay stuck since the box contents will be considerably heavier. During my first exploration of the product, I tried sliding one of the boxes back into the holder without having shut the box lid correctly. It got jammed and needed some force to yank it out. That would really test the adhesion. I now know to be careful to close the lids correctly but kids, partners, visitors might get caught out.
You cannot hang these under wall cupboards unless you have cupboards without a moulding/trim round the bottom. Even so the lip will prevent the cupboard door closing snugly letting dust and dirt into the cupboard - one of the differences between a cheap badly fitted kitchen and a decent quality kitchen.
They can be hung on wall cupboard shelves but they don’t use the full depth of the shelf and therefore waste space.
I tried them in a tall pantry cupboard but they blocked access to things stored on internal wire shelves at the back of unit. They were obviously useless above the shelf that holds my baking tins and trays vertically as nothing could be slid out. I briefly considered hanging them on the shelf in a base unit but that would make it even more frustrating to get at items on the bottom.
At this point I gave up on the rack and thought at least I have three nice Joseph Joseph storage containers. The lids are rigid and all but impossible to remove if you try using the end tabs. I can see the contents flying across the kitchen. They do open quite easily if you pull up the lid on one of the long sides but the tabs do look as thought they are there to assist with opening. If I use them I’ll have to remember to tell visitors how to open them. (Yes, people who stay at my house are expected to take a turn at cooking.)
Overall, they are an expensive disaster.
