I loved that this story didn’t have a whole heap of drama - there’s issues that arose of course but nothing too big. It really fit this couple and who they are as individuals as well as the beautiful story as well. Everything in Jock Row flows naturally and this is such a fabulous book to read - it reminded me a little of my own love story as there wasn’t a lot of drama with mine too. And I can’t forget to mention Rowdy’s parents - they totally steal the scenes they are in. Especially his mum who’s job is a little about out to author Sara Ney’s obsession with a certain romance genre 😉😉 And Rowdy’s dad totally made me laugh out loud with his “fatherly advice” - just fab!!!
Jock Row is the start of what I know will be another awesome series by Sara Ney. The characters are genuine and relatable (even to someone like me who is WAY out of my “college” years), the story was beautiful and the sexy time scenes... perfect!!!! So if this book isn’t on your TBR you should definitely go and add it - better yet just go and one click - because it’s a great book and if you’re new to Sara Ney, a great introduction to a wonderfully talented author.
Scarlett is a great character, loved her sass and don’t care attitude towards what other people think about her, what clothes she wears or that she doesn’t drink - it’s refreshing.
Sterling - what can I say, he is a hit AF base baller. Loved seeing his sweeter dude but also his cheeky mouth.
Overall a great read, honestly haven’t read anything with a similar storyline- loved it!
The reason why it is only 3 stars for me is purely because of Rowdy.
At first, I really liked him! But towards the end of the book he just ended up coming across really needy and it was like he was obsessed about having "relations" with Scarlett. I just didn’t really like it. I loved him at the start but he just got annoying.
I have never read anything by this author but I will be from now on.
I love Rowdy’s character. How cocky is he? But not too cocky where you just think he is a total douche. He is so funny, so caring, so sweet. I love the way he was with Scarlett. How nervous he got. He is one of my favourite male characters ever! I just love his personality.
Scarlett is adorable! She is a little awkward, but smart and sassy. I love how she puts the guys in their place. She isn’t like other girls that go to Jock Row, and I really like that about her. She is her own women.
These two together is electric! Their connection is palpable right through the whole book. You could just feel all the tension, all the anxiety. Their banter is hilarious and really makes the story fantastic.
I love the whole story line. I was captivated right from the get go, and I read it pretty quickly. I laughed so much, the characters were all quite funny. I love Rowdy’s mum, always taking notes and embarrassing poor Rowdy. So great to read. I really did not want Rowdy and Scarlett’s story to be over. I want to keep on reading and spend more time in their world. I really can not wait until Sara releases her next novel. I know this one just came out but I need more from Sara! But in the mean time I can read other books from Sara while I wait!
I received an early copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
Overall just a great story that hooked me right from the start, and I loved the lack of drama and angst, such a welcome change from all the books that seem to have drama for dramas sake!

Scarlett and Rowdy don’t meet in the conventional way after he is inducted to remove her from the party as she is killing the Jocks game, after she is out of the house he is determined that she isn’t getting back in. After the first encounter their friendship grows every Friday night they spend on the porch talking and getting to know each other in a unique, funny and entirely too sweet way.
Scarlett is sassy, confident and not afraid to say what she is thinking and the way she handled Rowdy made me smile. Rowdy is a stereotypical cocky jock who is used to attention from girls but the fact that Scarlett doesn’t care about his athletic status or if he will make her popular intrigues him and before long he feels a whole lot more for her than he ever expected.
Neither were looking for love but that’s what they find. This is a slow burn but well worth the time to read. If you need a pick me up then this book will make you smile and laugh.
I could've read this book forever, but it sadly had to end. I will definitely read Jock Row again and can't wait for the second book in this series. I just wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! If you haven't read Jock Row yet, then don't delay and download your copy today!
Hooked within the first chapter I didnt want to stop reading this at any point...
The banter between these guys was so good and I just found myself smiling at so many points throughout reading!
Scarlett goes to a party with friends and when she has a disagreement with some 'Jocks' shes asked to leave.
It comes down to team captain Rowdy to escort her out the house... and both their lives aren't the same again!
Absolutely loved the frjdnship chemistry and jokes between these guys!
Would recommend this as good feel good story.
