Product Description

This book is the second in the series and is preceded by FRET. It can be read as a standalone. It contains homosexual relations and harsh language. A sneak peek to book 3 follows the ending.

Jinx Jett is a rock superstar. As such, the hunky Skull Blasters drummer thoroughly enjoys the many perks of willing groupies, earning him a reputation as the band slut. Making it big and scoring hot women is something Jinx never expected. There's a little voice in the back of his mind constantly reminding him of how he used to be -- shy, overweight and acne prone. One night in a gay bar turns life upside down when Jinx runs into Jayden Dempsey, a kid he's been fantasizing about since giving him his autograph at a mall. Long-held insecurities keep Jinx from fully committing to anyone, and he may lose Jayden if he can't put his past behind him.

Jayden Dempsey always wanted out of his life in small-town Alabama. When his parents kicked him out after he told them he was gay, Jayden decided the time was right to move on. He crosses the country to try out for 'Singers!', a show that propels unknowns to stardom. In a twist, producers choose him and three others as winners and form a boy band called London Boys. This season, the show brings Jayden and the guys back for the finale. Surprise! The contest's heavy metal finalist will be singing with Skull Blasters.
Jinx and Jayden's initial meeting doesn't go so well, and Jayden's stunned when the guy he's crushed on for years turns out to be a total jerk. It doesn't stop him from falling into Jinx's arms every time they're alone, but Jayden didn't sign on for one nighters. He wants Jinx Jett, baggage and all.

Can a former teen outcast put rejection behind him and embrace the acceptance standing right in front of him? How much will one boy bander put up with from his rock idol before enough is enough? Can they make it work? Or are they jinxed in love?

Jinxed is Book 2 in Sandrine Gasq-Dion from her The Rock series. Jinx is the drummer for Skull Blasters and meets a guy so cute, but Oh No there is a big block to their friendship.
Sandrine Gasq-Dion gives is more information on the band members, introduces us to more hot side characters and give us twist in all their stories. I is a fun 2nd book to the Rock series. I am looking forward to Sandrine Gasq-Dion's continuing this series.

Thanks Sandrine Gasq-Dion & Good Writing

4.0 out of 5 stars Very sexy book two... 20 March 2017
By Lindsay - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is what I was expecting for "Fret"...lots of steam but still a very sweet story with two very likeable leads. Jinx is the drummer/manwhore of the group. He's also the first male lead I've ever read dealing with a case of crabs and sticking his (now treated) junk in glory holes lol, definitely a memorable character! Thankfully our other male lead is on the other side. I really enjoyed Jayden. Similar to One Direction, he and a group of other guys were pushed into a group together on a singing show by a British mastermind producer and now they are huge boyband sensation, which rankles Jinx. I am pretty sure the author is a One Direction fan as there are penguins, references to multiple nipples, and the band's name is London Boys :)

I would have liked a little more love-hate banter and relationship because they fell in love pretty instantaneously. They also came out quickly to friends, family, and publicly with very little to no backlash, so I just felt the plot could have been a little deeper. I don't know if it was a formatting issue but there were a couple of symbols that were throughout the book...maybe a find/replace edit that replaced all. It just got annoying, didn't take me out of the story but an editor would have found it immediately. But it was a fast, sexy read and I'm definitely looking forward to Harley's story

5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to a great series The Rock Gods 7 February 2016

I took the time to read the first book which I loved, Fret, though this can be read as a stand alone. When a new book is written for a series I always reread so i can appreciate the characters that are included in the new books, which wrecks havoc on my TBR list. In this book we meet the drummer Jinx Jett from the metal band Skull Blasters. The band is asked to play with the winners of a idol type show in LA. While there Jinx lays his eyes on an acquaintance from his recent past . Too funny how they met. Jinx was is the man whore of the group, whose sexuality is fluid trying to decide who he is. Jayden Dempsey is a singer in a boy band called The London Boys. Who was discovered on the same idol type show so the group h as to play at the finale in LA. Jinx is shocked to see Jayden who is just as shocked. The attraction is still there from their first meeting. They rekindle where they left off. Very sweet very sexy. I loved these two characters and how they fell in love so sweet. I can't wait to read the next one i especially loved how the parents are dealt with in this book. Jayden was licked out of his home when he came out. He went to LA with dreams os being in a band. Jinx was afraid to come out for fear of parental rejection. I can't wait to see them in the next book Harley's Achilles. Which I know will be as great as the first two. Sandrine Gasq-Dion is one of my favorite authors she writes well and tells one hell of an excellent story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jinxed ROCKS... 11 December 2015

I freakin love this story. Jinxed is the second book in the Rock Series, and I was really looking forward to Jinx’ story. It was totally worth the wait. Sandrine has found the perfect tone and style for this new series. I felt a little uncertainty during Fret (the first book), but all the issues I’d had disappeared. The writing is flawless again, the story just flows effortlessly. I enjoyed every page of it.
Jinx and Jayden’s story begins in the first book with their chance meeting at the mall when Jayden is fangirling all over Jinx. The prologue says it all so new readers do not miss a thing. I really enjoy that although their story is pretty basic, there are certain elements that make this book special. Like their second encounter… wow… never read anything like that before!!! The chemistry between them is sizzling from the beginning and the tension coming their way just makes it all the more sparkling.
The writing is so amazing that you find yourself in the world of the music business. You are taken to an enjoyable ride along with these two talented musicians, getting a glimpse in the lives of rock stars. We see they are ordinary people with extraordinary talent in an unordinary situation. All the details are perfectly constructed together. The amount of research the writer had done absolutely pays off, from the songs they play, the instruments they use, the places they visit, up till the language they speak. I enjoyed their banter a lot. The conversation among these guys is very real, very lifelike. I love the humor woven in the story. I just found myself laughing out loud many times, snickering some more. The double first person alternating POV is very well written and gives us the chance to really get to know our guys. All the secondary characters are great and lovable, giving you a feeling that you are part of this amazing group of friends. Sandrine is also a master series writer. We already feel strongly for Achilles and Hayden and are intrigued and excited to read their story.
I literally couldn’t put it down and cannot wait for the next installment. Highly recommended!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bad boy Jinx! 1 November 2015

Loved it! I was laughing out loud in some places. Sandy does have a way with words, "the just got laid parade". Priceless! I liked that Jayden gave as good as he got. He didn't take crap from Jinx. Yes he did give it up but he knew when to walk away, make Jinx face his past and work for it. Watching/reading Jinx fall was funny, frustrating, pissifying and heartwarming. The performance sounded fab! (I know it's a story.) I'm glad Jayden had loyal friends since his parents needed a wake up call. The Skull Blasters and the London Boys could probably get into a lot of fun trouble together. We got to see Ransom tongue tied. Aaaahhh.
Looking forward to Harley's story. It seems like it will be more emotional.
Thank you Sandy for another wonderful story.

Sandrine Gasq Dion has done it again with another awesome book in The Rock Series. This is book 2 in the series, this is about Jayden and Jinx. Jinx is the drummer for the Skull Blasters. Things that has happen in his childhood with his father and kept Jinx from making any form of commitment to anyone. With a chance encounter at a bar Jinx meets Jayden again. Jayden is a drummer for a Boy band and he is out to all and does not want to hide that part of himself. When Jayden told his parents and they kick him out, he made a promise to not hide who he is. Jayden has had feelings for Jinx for a long time, for who Jinx truly is and not what the world wants to see. What do you do when the one that you love cannot truly be open with his feelings cause of the conflict from his pasty holding him back. Jinx finally realize that he can truly lose Jayden if he does not do something to prove to him that he truly wants him forever. With the help of his band mates and Jayden band mate they help to prove that love does conquer all fears.
This is a highly must read book and series, you will love the band Skull Blasters and all their charms and how they are there for each other through the fire.
