All that said, the things I was dreading, just never happened. And I am so glad I didn’t focus on the blurb and had to read this now. As expected it is written in the perfect Rebecca Jenshak way and I was hooked from the first page. It's told in dual point of view but in large chunks of each person's so we only get the one side of each event.
Finn was amazing. I fell in love with him from the beginning. There he was being the perfect fiance, only to be ditched at the alter. And even though he was devastated, he didn't do anything stupid and he was such a genuinely good guy. I kept picturing him with this adorable Bengal kitten, seriously is there anything hotter than a man doting on a baby animal?
Adele was awesome too. I liked that even though it sucked she did the right thing. And when she realised she had made the wrong choice she didn't run and cry. She pulled up her big girl panties and started in on plan B. But mainly I loved that she realised she was living her life in a safe bubble and went about popping it so she could live her life to the fullest.
The chemistry was sparking off the pages. And Finn was such a great hero. He loved hard and he went balls to the wall to prove it, even when he thought it was pointless. I really enjoyed this book so much. I would love to see Foster get a book of his own. But for now I guess it's back to praying for Rebecca to write faster.
I love Rebecca Jenshak’s sports romance books, and even though Jilted Jock has a slightly unique feel to it, I enjoyed this story very much!
Finn is an Australian soccer player, living and playing in LA, and at the start of this story he is about to get married to his golden girl fiancé, who leaves him at the altar, where Finn discovers she has been having an affair with one of his teammates behind his back. Devastated and drunk, Finn (and his new kitten) stays with an old mate, Chance and his family. It is then we meet Chance’s sister Adele, who feeling sorry for Finn allows him to stay at her place for 2 weeks. Now the story gets even more interesting as Finn and Adele are roommates and slowly, somewhat reluctantly get to know one another.
Rebecca Jenshak has written an engaging story of finding love, finding the one right for you even when you’re heartbroken, or with another. She discusses deeper issues that Adele has experienced in the past, which has been part of making Adele into the person she is today. Slowly, with Finn’s presence in her life, Adele is looking to a different future, and a different outlook on life. Finn is outgoing, and definitely charming, but Adele sees beyond that to the real man underneath his hidden layers. A slow burn feel, there is definite chemistry making its self known to these two! And don’t worry, there is certainly some steamy scenes to balance out the slow burn! And there’s a gorgeous little kitten that steals both their hearts!
I recommend to readers who enjoy contemporary romance, with Jilted Jock being able to be read as a standalone or after other books in the Cocky Hero Club series.
Thank you for the early copy I received, this is an honest review with all opinions my own.
This book had me hooked from the first page. I feel in love with both Adele, Finn and marshmallow.
This book was beautifully written. I felt like the author took us along for a ride and to show us no matter what love will conquer all.
I loved the chemistry between Adele and Finn.
I did not want this book to end. It had the right amount of emotion, drama and love.
I was given a ARC of this book for an honest review. This was a 5+ star read for me.

From page one, I was hooked. JILTED JOCK is different to anything Rebecca has written before in the sense it’s slightly more “adult” and is hot AF!!! Everything about it was absolute perfection and i became so invested in Finn and Adele’s story.
If you’ve read C***Y B*****D by Keeland and Ward, then you will have met Chance and Aubrey already, and these two feature quite heavily in this story as Adele is Chance’s sister. Finn McCash is our Australian soccer star and I love him SO HARD!! He is an absolute sweetheart and I was routing for him the whole way through. Don’t get me wrong, he messes up MASSIVELY, and at around 84% I was sobbing as my heart broke for Adele, but he’s not one of these a-hole alphas and was able to see where he went wrong and set about to get his girl.
Without a doubt this is one of Rebeccas best books to date; her writing just seems to get better and better with each new release and I’m so excited for everyone to read this gorgeous story.
