I began this book with expectations of a good archealogy thriller but found it very lightly treated. Instead I felt lectured to about the issues and treatment of deaf people. I don't have a problem with raising awareness of deafness, but feel misled here.

Great Book, Should Be a Movie

I picked this book up on Sci-Fi website and as I read the book I could not figure out why it was posted there. This book read as current history in Israel which I found quite interesting. I learned so much about the culture and some customs plus the struggles between the Israelis and the Palestinians. I love the way this book was written, the storyline, the characters are so relatable, the drama and suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I also love that it is centered around on some non hearing characters. No questions left unanswered, concepts brought together beautifully. The Sci-Fi part finally comes in with the discovery of some ancient tablets and what occurred. This book would make a great movie. If you enjoy stories about Israel, mysteries about the Holy Land, struggles, suspense and the miracle of love and life you will enjoy this book.

What a great book. The history, the science and the story line are fantastic. The characters get into your soul as you are immersed into the raging conflicts in the middle east. All sides of the arguments are presented with passion and realistically unfortunate results. Enjoyed learning about Israeli customs while exploring the archeology of the area. A wonderful insight into the passions and the history of Israel. Highly recommend this book as a story worthy of your time, you will be immersed into the plot and come out wanting more.
