Product Description

Signing with Brighthouse Records was supposed to be everything we ever wanted—our better life. Our chance at everything we never had but always wanted. All our dreams would finally come true and we were on top of the world.
It was our chance at the happiness we never had in life.
Our every desire was at our fingertips and the power of that feeling was all consuming. But then it took every dream we thought would come true and it slapped us in the face with the cold hard reality.
Dreams were just that…something that floated on the cusp of untouchable, taunting you with every graze of your fingertips before slipping even further away.
Happiness…that feeling is a joke.
In the end it became painfully obvious that each of us would always have each other, but we would forever be alone.

Jaded Hearts will kick off the Loaded Replay series - which will be a series of interconnected standalones. The cast and crew of Jaded Hearts was introduced to us for the first time briefly in Unexpected Fate. You do not need to read that book in order to fully enjoy Jaded Hearts. Happy reading!

Harper Sloan has done it again. Loaded Replay has been highly anticipated by fans of Harper since Unexpected Fate and it did not disappoint.
Another fantastic story of finding love and how far you'll go to protect the ones you love.
Can't wait for Jamison's story!!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the dynamic of the band mates and their dialogue/banter was great. The chemistry between Wren and Chance was flammable. Highly recommend this book if you enjoy alpha guys and feisty, funny girls

Wrenlee Davenport has conquered her own personal Everest. She's accomplished her dream of making it big in the music industry, together with her band, Loaded Replay, she's become world famous, sold millions of records, fronts sold out shows, and feels empty.

It turns out that, for her, achieving the dream isn't everything she imagined it to be. So while there's certainly the satisfaction of having 'made it', and the adulation of fans, she's still left feeling hollow. Disillusioned.

If that weren't bad enough, she's also got security issues with crazy stalker fans, that prompt her bandmates, brother Weston, and close friends Jamison and Luke, to hire personal security for her.

Enter Chance Nash, who fans of Harper Sloan's writing might remember from Unexpected Fate, wherein he, along with several others, once attended a Loaded Replay concert, and where he in particular became captivated by the beautiful and exotic Wren.

With Chance striving to do his job in a professional manner, and Wren searching for fulfillment more so than security, things very quickly get complicated in a story that alternates between burning up the pages with the latent heat between the two and having the reader laugh out loud at the shenanigans between band-mates who're as close as family, suspense as things tense up between the band, their manager and their recording label (not helped at all by speculation from the paparazzi) and the mystery of the crazed stalker.

After waiting for this story for so long, as it was delayed time and again in favor of other projects, I was overjoyed to have it finally land on my reader, and wasn't disappointed in the least.

An absolute joy to read.

I am a sucker for a rock star book. I mean, helloooooo, rock stars.

What I loved about Jaded Hearts is that the rock star we are focusing on is not the tattooed guy with an 8 pack and the voice that makes knicker drop, it is the feisty woman with the raspy voice that drives men insane.

Both singer Wrenlee (Wren) and security guy Chance have both been SOL with relationships, and the last thing either of them is looking for is a relationship, but as they are thrown closer and closer together, the lustful thought and lingering glances can't help but turn into more.

I LOVED that Wren went for what she wanted. I could understand Chance's hesitance, but boy I wanted them to get their act together. And when they do, all that pent up tension leads to explosive times together. And they both give up fighting and go for it.

There is a bit of a mystery running through the background of this story which kept the characters on edge as well.

I adore adore adore the bond between the band members. No egos, they all have each other's backs and there was so much love for each other.

It has been a while since I have read a Harper Sloan book, and I loved that it tied all three series together (but you don't need to have read any of the other series to read Loaded Replay).

This is the start of another great series, and I cannot wait for the next book to hit my kindle

Finishes book and sighs with my heart bursting out of my chest. I have been a big fan of Harper Sloan's books with some of my favourites being the Corp Security series and then moving to the 2nd generation with the Hope Town series. If you have read the Hope Town series you will remember Chance from Unexpected Fate as being Cohen's best friend. I knew there had to be more to Chance than the brooding alpha male who didn't talk a lot and didn't really let people in. This book is the story of two people with Jaded Hearts that need each other to fix the broken pieces. This story takes you on a journey of lust, love, trust and true happiness. Move over Corps Security and Hope Town, The Loaded Replay series just took number one spot after the first book. This book will make you laugh till you cry, swoon, get you hot and steamy and will also make you teary from the emotional connection between the characters. One click this book now it is a five star MUST read!

Harper always writes great make characters and with Chance she's given us another one to add to the list.
Wren is the lead singer of Loaded Replay she needs security to deal with recent threats and in comes Chance. We met Chance previously he's Cohen's friend from the army.
Wren is snarky and loud at first i didn't like her but I quickly realised that's a front that she uses to give the media and fans what they expect.
Chance was a bit of a mystery but we really get to know him in this book. He may not be related to the Corps Security guys but he's definitely one of them. He's strong, a total alpha, protective and when he loves he's all in.
The storyline is really good and easy to follow with characters you will fall in love with. I can't wait to meet the rest of the band.
