Easy to setup, but once I started using the Freeway, I realised that the sound quality was not very good. Friends at the other end were telling me the sound was terrible compared to the old one. The sound I was hearing at my end was terrible too. The FM option kept disconnecting, so no use to me at all. The volume appeared to be set way too high by default and could not turn it down.
All in all, a very disappointing purchase that is going back after day 1.
Would I buy it again, probably not.

This (expensive) product promises:-
"...and there is no need to press buttons to turn the Jabra Freeway on or off it automatically turns on when you get into your car and off when you get out."
This is NOT true, reading the manual carefully it first says:-
"Turns on and off automatically using the builtin G-sensor"
but further down it then states:-
"The Jabra FREEWAY will automatically turn off when your phone is moved away from the car"
So it does NOT use the builtin G-sensor to turn itself off, just when the phone not in range, just like all the rest of the speakerphones.
Another annoying feature are the voice prompts:-
1) The volume of then cannot be changed.
2) It has difficulty with recognising my voice for commands (and I have been told I don't have a heavy English accent)
3) They are very very abrupt, like you are always been shouted at.
I will now be looking for a speakerphone that uses the car's power to turn on and off.
The Jabra was easy to set up, pair with my iPhone 7 Plus and works perfectly. It clips neatly to the sun visor. I'd recommend slipping it onto the right hand driver's side as I noticed that when I put it on the left hand side of the visor, towards the centre of the car thinking it would be better there, the listener could not hear me so well. I think it might be because the microphones appear to be on the left hand side of the unit (there are some holes there) so they would be away from me if placed on the left hand side in the car's centre.
The sound quality is excellent. I often listen to audible books on it and everything is crystal clear. It can even transmit the sound to the car's speakers via the FM radio. It turns my old pre-blue tooth car into something capable of working seamlessly with a modern smart phone.
The battery lasts a reasonable time and can be charged quickly in the car in the usual way. The range of the bluetooth connection is a long way so be careful when you park up and get out of the car mid-call and transfer to the phone. As the unit will often grab back the call if you are within 30-40 feet of the car! It does mean that the moment you unlock the car, whether the door or the boot, the unit wakes up quickly and pairs with the phone.
Of all the various after-market ways of connecting my iPhone to my car (including a quality Garmin navigation unit) this is by far the best and reasonably priced product I have come across.
The sound quality on this item is excellent. Voice calls and audio sound are crisp and clear and the actual volume available is very good.
When linked via the FM function, audio is excellent and the FM function is very simple and easy to use.
Battery performance is superb.
Bluetooth functionality is excellent - very simple to use and the connection and reconnection works well.
The Not so Good.
Voice recognition is a struggle. The functionality of the Jabra works well, but the ability of the unit to distinguish between some names is limited and from a hands free point of view, lets this unit down. Previous cheaper handsfree have performed better than the Jabra.
Overall, i like the Jabra. The unit is well made, looks very smart and aside from the voice recognition works well.
Battery I guess is still in the "seasoning" stage of charging and discharging a few times as it's not lasting as long as my previous Jabra Cruiser2
Simpe to setup and I love the automatic switch-on and pairing getting in to the car.
The FM Transmitter is a major factor for me and was really disappointed when the power output seemed to be poor, the Cruiser2 was a beast and pumped pure quality into the car stereo - I still needed to re-tune now and again as London airwaves are quite full.
As this was a deal-breaker for me that it was going back otherwise (with regret) I tried and failed to see any fixes using professor google... then I hit on the fix of my own, use the micro-usb cable as an antenna (maybe others have found the same) and this has boosted the FCC muted power to substantial proportions. Testing side-by-side, it's as good as the Cruiser and so I'm keeping it.
The call quality for who I'm speaking with and to me would be another deal-breaker is perfect, as good as the Cruiser2 so all-in-all, brilliant
another reason for a star loss is that the unit itself I think has be pre-owned, not reported to Amazon yet, but a couple of scratches by the charging point shows either 2nd hand or some odd Jabra factory prep?
*Edit* 2 years on and it's still amazing, battery life is fantastic at about 3 weeks or more. Auto connect when you enter the car is a great timesaver. Paired with a Podcast App to play through the speakers is a new world of possibilities
Simple to fit onto the sun visor where it just sits there unobtrusively. As I enter the car I get an audible reminder that a connection has been made with my phone, very handy if you're like me and only switch the bluetooth on when you need it, if you don't hear the reminder then you switch your bluetooth on. As far as operation, great sound i can hear the callers perfectly and have the option to turn the volume up or down, commands can be given to answer or reject calls either verbally or by the easily accessible buttons on the unit itself. I bought it because my Honda has never ever been able to connect to an iphone and to replace the bluetooth unit in the car would have been a lot more that this unit which I can simply move from car to car. Recommended buy!!
