From the manufacturer
Each item in the Helix Range features;
Innovative Horizontal Twisting Design
Most presses require strong hands to operate, and their vertical squeezing action can often be awkward to use. With the Helix range, however, the squeezing force is applied horizontally, which is much more comfortable and utilises the power of the shoulders as well.
The tough, 2-piece design is made from stainless steel and nylon, which allows the extra horizontal force to be applied, which multiplies the force used, meaning you get more squeezing power from less effort.
Easy to clean
The 2-piece design comes apart for easy cleaning, and is also dishwasher safe.

I keep basic tools in my kitchen and get the most of them.
Having said that however, if you want really creamy, light, fluffy mashed potatoes, there is no substitute for using a ricer. I've tried beating them with a wire whip, I've tried whipping them in the mixer etc etc but riced potatoes just have the texture of clouds and nothing compares. Zero lumps ever.
If you're making gnocchi you must have perfectly smooth, bone dry potato puree. A ricer provides that.
This device is pretty spendy but it is really well made and heavy duty. With normal use and no abuse it should last a lifetime. There is ample leverage to easily press the potatoes through the holes. The capacity is not that great but for the amounts of potatoes that you'd rice for your family dinner it'll take a minute or two. You can fit about enough potatoes into it for one person and it's about a 30 second journey to fill it, squeeze it, and undo it to get ready for the next batch. So, 2 people per minute, more if you're coordinated and energetic.
Recommended if you eat a lot of pureed vegetables or make gnocchi and the cost doesn't seem silly for a single use tool.
Update: this product has plastic threads that can jump off its track if you press a standard sized lemon. I squeezed about 10 lemons and now it won’t press all the way down due to the threads jumping off its track. Useless now. Should’ve been all metal.
I don't understand all the Amazon policies because I was surprised to find out I was not allowed to return it. This item is money thrown away.
It looks like it cleans easily, but I can't use it again, so there is no reason to clean it and find out.
I'm greatly disappointed and don't know if I can try this brand again.
What I LOVE: The part that the juice flows through is made from stainless steel and it's ingenious: easy, no mess, no seeds, rinse-and-done design.
Room for improvement: It leaves pulp and some juice behind. I'd say it squeezes lemon to about 80%. The design is quite smart, it keeps the seeds inside the rind and out of the juice, but you do sacrifice a little juice and pulp. I decided to not obsess over the little left behind and to instead just enjoy not having to muscle out every last drop on a hand squeezer.
If they made the track and peg more precise and removed the empty space at the bottom of the citrus holder, it would be pretty nifty.
