Product Description

Former Navy SEAL Travis Blake is a rising star in the security business. In two short years, Blake Security Inc. has become highly sought after by the who’s who in Washington DC.

But unbeknownst to many, Travis is haunted by the mysterious death of his wife three years before. He carries with him the guilt of not being there to protect the one person who meant everything to him. He has buried his wife, but his heart refuses to accept that the body six feet under is hers. His obsessive search for her leads him deep into the trenches of covert ops—where everything is not what it seems.

Caitlin Kincaid has been on the run for a while. The sum of her memories began three years ago when she awakened with a broken arm and leg and a severe concussion. Hunted down by a secret group within the U.S. government, her companion persuades her to stay off the grid because of the standing kill order on their heads. One night, while fleeing assassins, she is left on the side of the road with a cryptic message: “It’s time for you to stop running. I’m not the one you love.”

When Travis receives news that the woman who has turned up at the American Embassy in Berlin could be his wife, he wastes no time getting to her. He is unprepared for the devastation that shreds him when Caitlin looks at him with no recognition in her eyes. Amnesia is a challenging enough obstacle for winning the love of his life back, but with lies defining the past three years of her life, Caitlin becomes wary of anyone’s help.

Love was never the problem. A marriage cannot survive without trust. As sinister forces threaten the bond they are trying to rebuild, trust must come quickly or one of them will die.

* Strong sexual content and language. Some disturbing situations. 18 years and above.

“It's time for you to stop running. I'm not the one you love.”

Travis Blake, former Navy SEAL, runs a highly successful security business and for all appearances is doing quite well with his life; except he is a broken man. He has never gotten over the sudden death of his wife three years ago and deep down, he doesn't actually believe her body is the one he buried. So when he gets word that a woman matching his wife's description shows up at an Embassy in another country, he doesn't hesitate to fly out and see it for himself. His overwhelming relief at finally seeing with his own eyes that his Sarah is still alive gets overshadowed by heartbreak and disbelief when she doesn't recognize him.

Caitlin Kincaid has no memories of her life prior to three years ago when she woke up with broken bones and no idea who she was. Living life on the run, in constant danger, escaping the assassins who are always on her tail, is all she knows. Then one day, the man she has spent the last three years fighting for her life with, Jase, leaves her on the side of the road with nothing but the clothes on her back and a cryptic message. When she first meets her husband Travis, she doesn't know what to think; living in constant danger has caused her to not trust anyone, and it seems as though Travis truly does know and love her, even if she can't remember it. But the fact remains that she is in danger and Travis makes it clear that he will not lose her again; and who better can keep her safe than a former SEAL who does security for a living?

I found this book to long winded and never seemed to make its point. A big disappointment

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing story line, kick butt heroine, and a possessive alpha male! 16 July 2014

It's Always Been You begins with Travis still living with the ghost of his dead wife, even though he thinks she may not really bee dead. It has been three years since he got the news, and a lot has changed. But when he gets a call from his best friend and fellow employee his whole world his changed.

Caitlin has been on the run for the last three years. She doesn't remember anything beyond those three years because she was in an accident that caused her to have amnesia, but her friend Jase tells her everything she needs to know.. Or so she thought. He ends up leaving her on the side of the road and tells her that he's not the one she loves... Then come to find out she is actually married to a man named Travis... These two have a whole lot of things to go through, and on top of that there is stills one out there who is trying to kill Caitlin.. Now they will do everything they can to figure out what is going on and how to fix it before it is too late..

This book was not at all what I thought it would be. I was actually afraid to read it because I've read a book that had a similar plot line in a way, so I really didn't know what to think about this one. But I'm so glad a friend talked me into it. This book just blew me away from the very beginning. I couldn't believe everything that happened, and then when Travis and Caitlin meet again after the three years it was so not what I was thinking would happen either. But it did. And it was all crazy, sad, exciting, and beautiful all at once. This book has a very interesting plot line, that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book. It also has a kick butt heroine who wasn't afraid to fight for what she needed to, and a hot alpha male with a major protective streak, and some major possessiveness.I really enjoyed this book, and I look forward to more in this series.
4.0 out of 5 stars VERY good read :) 20 July 2014

I really enjoyed this read. Of course I fell in love with our lead Alpha male Travis he was just the right mix of all things overbearing, hot, sensual, possessive, loving & protective.

I loved watching the dynamic play out with he & Caitlin as well. There was plenty of emotional, mental, & physical chemistry to witness with these two.

But what made their story just.. more for me, was the surrounding plot involving them. So many twists and "OMG! I thought I knew where this was going, but I was SO wrong" reveals. And I must say I loved that. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire novel. Things just kept popping up & happening. I was like... "Damn! What's gonna happen next?!" Maybe this is why I felt like I was never going to finish the book? I never hit a slow or dragging point within the novel, but I was wondering why it took me so long to finish it. This isn't a bad thing though :D

Nothing felt rushed here or like it was just left there either. Like it was forgotten about by the time the story comes to a close. I love how all the things that were introduced here, was brought to a close or left you with a clear impression that you would be returning to it in future books, but without that dreaded feeling/thing, called a "Cliffy".

There is a clear set up here for another book. But I love how it was balanced within the story and how it didn't take away from anything concerning our main characters or their plight. It all flowed well & had a purpose. So this was awesome for me.

I would say this is a solid, intriguing, erotic & suspenseful intro to a series. It has me curious about what's to come in the next & future books. I would definitely recommend this read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too many monkeys in this circus!! 11 January 2015

Started off a bit rocky, and confusing. And the story spiraled out of control.... Way too many characters, keep a note book close to keep track of the story line, and which characters fit in where. And Travis is just a little too much of a cave man. I am all for a alpha male lead , but he is just over the top.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced story, bursting with alpha males 1 June 2015

This was real page turner that kept me up late at night.

There is so much happening in this book that sometimes I needed an intermission to get my head around it all.

Travis is an ex navy SEAL who now has his own security business. Three years ago his wife Sarah went missing and despite a body being found, he never believed she was truly dead. He was right.

Sarah turns up at the US embassy in Berlin. Her name is Caitlin Kincaid, she is suffering from amnesia and has no memory of Travis or their life together. She returns to the US with him as they try to piece their life back together.

Travis learns things about Caitlin that leave him questioning if he really even knew her. One thing he does know is that he is completely in love with this woman and will do anything to protect & keep her.

Caitlin however is a magnet for trouble. There are a number of people with a vested interest in her and what is hidden away in her brain. Some people want her dead, others need her alive to get what they need.

This is a fast paced story involving the CIA, Russian mafia, motorcycle gangs and is bursting with alpha males!

It is a second chance love story too and amongst all this drama is a re-emergence of love between Travis and Caitlin, there are lovely pockets of romance throughout this story.

Really enjoyed this

2.0 out of 5 stars This "Hero" Didn't Cut It for Me... 23 January 2015

I love a good amnesia story, but this one was way over the top and not in a good way: controlling and obsessive hero and a convoluted plot. The only thing that seemed to bond the hero and heroine was sex, and there was a LOT of it which overshadowed any true emotional connection. Honestly, by the time I got to the end, and boy, was that painful, I still didn't understand what they saw in each other other than the chance to go at it like rabbits...repeatedly. What brought them together and made them fall in love? I still have no idea.
