Product Description

Sniper Hunter Powell thought he lost everything when he took the rap for a crime he didn't commit in order to save a friend. Now he's got a chance to redeem himself. There's only one catch--he has to leave the military, settle down on a Montana ranch--and marry a woman he's never met before. A woman so young and sheltered he can’t believe she’ll have any interest in a hardened warrior like him—even if her fierce independence, hot-tempered humor, and unexpected beauty has got him plenty interested in her.

Jo Reed watched two of her sisters marry the men her father sent to help them on the family ranch, so when Hunter arrives, she’s ready for him. She doesn’t want a husband; she wants a house of her own where she can call the shots—and if the Navy SEAL wants to stay, he’d better build it to her specifications. More to the point, he’d better stop kissing her.

Hunter knows he’s not supposed to build Jo a house—he’s supposed to marry her. But first he’s got to earn her trust—and stop treating her like a new recruit. The longer he’s around the headstrong woman, the more he wants to be around her.
Despite her best intentions, Jo’s falling for the Navy SEAL, but she’s already been unlucky in love twice. Will the third time around be the charm?

Or the last straw?

Hunter and Jo, talk about love at first sight for both of them which also surprised both of them..lol I really enjoyed this one the story was sweet, without to much drama, just enough thrills and intrigue this family is coming into its own.

Another fantastic addition to this series. I am loving the intrigue and suspense with whoever is after Two Willows. The danger and tension is real and intense and so good to read about. I loved getting to know Hunter and Jo as they got to know one another through all their family issues. They make a great couple and I was excited to read their story! Cora Seton knocks it out of the park EVERY TIME!

An ARC was made available to me for an honest review.

This was probably my favourite so far. Hunter has so much love to give and so loyal to his brother from an other mother. That Jo doesn't give up because of two very rotten apples and believes in love.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Right Time!!! 13 June 2017

Hunter Powell, a Navy SEAL sniper thought he'd list everything when he took the blame for a crime he didn't commit to save his friend. Like others who'd commit mistake, he was send to USSOCOM under General Reed's command. There was a way for Hunter to make atonement, he had to marry General Reed's daughter, Jo Reed.

Josephine "Jo" Reed didn't want to get married after two failed attempts at relationships she was calling it quits. So when the sexy handsome Navy SEAL, Hunter Powell showed up at Two Willows, she was prepared for him. And she let him know that she had no intention of marrying him which made Hunter took that little tidbit as a challenge.

Hunter didn't know what the General was thinking when he paired him with his youngest daughter. They had nothing in common and he didn't thought she would be interested in a man like him. Yet he found interested in Jo's independence, her hot tempered humor and her undeniable beauty.

Jo wanted a house of her own, a place where she would be calling all the shots so she made Hunter a deal. If he wanted to stay at Two Willows he would have to build her her dream house. Challenge accepted. She shared things with him that she never told anyone like her ability to feel someone's present emotions with one touch. They were both intrigued by each other.

Despite Lena's warnings Jo was growing closer to Hunter. And what she learned about him broke through her defenses. It was beautiful the way they both were so compatible even though at first glance it didn't seem that way. Hunter's past was about to ruin what he'd worked so hard for for the second time.

Jo understood Hunter's intentions even though others were questioning him. Trouble was still looming around the Reeds. But they weren't about to let the enemy take what was theirs from them without a fight.

As always it was a pleasant treat to see Cab & Rose Johnson making an appearance and hearing about the women of Westfield. Loved how all of Chance Creek series are tied together.

ISSUED TO THE BRIDE : ONE SNIPER is the third installment in Cora Seton's BRIDES OF CHANCE CREEK series. What an amazing, intriguing and beautiful ride it has been.

****ARC given in exchange for an honest review.****
5.0 out of 5 stars Jo and Hunter's Turn 17 June 2017

Hunter is a Navy SEAL sniper who tried to help a friend out and it left him in trouble. Jo Reed has gone through more than most young women her age including having killed a man in self defense to save herself and her sister. Both of them need each other but neither can see it.

The General aka General Reed and the Reed sisters father has plans for all of his daughters to marry men he has handpicked for them. And all of them are misfits according to the military but he is convinced they are the best possible matches for his daughters. The daughters he has not seen in years due to his own inability to come to terms with his wife’s death. Yes, this is a continuing thread and underlying theme in the series. I am hoping that by the time this series reaches it final book, the General has come to terms with his own grief and reunites with his daughters.

Jo as the youngest daughter feels that she needs to be able to live by herself before she is ready to marry. Each of the men sent by her father already have built or made something for the sister who they ended up marrying. Jo decides that she wants Hunter to build her a house. She is willing to listen to Hunter’s suggestion that he build her a tiny house. And with this the fun begins.

The characters in this book are well developed like Ms. Seton’s characters always are. They are also human with flaws. And these flaws and quirks are what make her characters fun to get to know and read about.

Each book in this series can be read separately. But reading them in order gives you a chance to get to know everyone. These books also a chance to catch a glimpse of other characters in the books set around the Chance Creek area.

I did receive a copy of this book from the author in advance in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
5.0 out of 5 stars cute story 22 June 2017

Issued to the Bride One Sniper: Brides of Chance Creek Book 3 is by Cora Seaton. General Augustus Reed had found grooms for two of his daughters, Cass and Sadie. Now it was Jo’s turn. He was also afraid of the drug running outfit who was hounding the ranch these days. Brian and Connor, the grooms, had already run them off twice; but they could use some help. He was sending Hunter Powell, Navy SEAL sniper, to help protect the ranch and to marry Jo. Of course, Hunter had to get Jo to marry him without telling her it was his mission.
Hunter Powell had come to the special unit under General Reed because he had messed up and was close to being dishonorably discharged. Reed was giving him a second chance. General Reed thought there was more to the incident that Hunter was involved in but he didn’t know for sure. He hoped he read him right.
Jo answered the door when Hunter arrived in the middle of Sadie and Connor’s wedding. She knew immediately he was from General Reed and wanted nothing to do with him. However, when she touched him, she could read his emotions and his were confusing. Was he to be trusted? When he said he was there to make Jo happy and give her whatever she wanted. Immediately, she said she wanted a house. So, Hunter was to build her a house; somehow, he had to learn how to do that and quickly.
This book is really good and it cute. It was fun to read.
5.0 out of 5 stars I loved the third book in this Brides of Chance Creek ... 14 June 2017

I loved the third book in this Brides of Chance Creek series because I admired the strength and tenacity Jo had through everything she faced, even this Navy SEAL sniper who just happened to choose Connor and Sadie's wedding day to make his appearance. These two were cut from the same cloth, both resilient in their brokenness. She fought for her independence even as she found herself wanting the closeness she could have with him. And as much as they wondered whether their age difference would be their biggest hurdle, there were more difficult things to get past in order to find the connection they needed to have their happily ever after. It's steamy and perilous and fantasy all wrapped up in an impossible romance.

I think one of my favorite aspects of these stories in particular is the magic. Each of the women seems to have some kind of connection to the land and their heritage that nothing has the power to break. And each of the men complements these women in ways none of them expected to want. It's romance at its finest with some dangerous mystery involved to keep us watching. As much as I love this entire story, my favorite scene in the book is the last one. I won't tell you how it ends...you have to read the book. Thank you for another wonderful and breathtaking read, Ms Seton.

Jo Reed is the youngest of the 5 Reed sisters. At 22 she is the sensitive sister who loves animals and is very good at handling them on their Two Willows Ranch. The girl's father, just call him the "General," has been an absentee parent for years, since their mother died over a decade ago. But that hasn't stopped him from sending nanny's and overseers that his daughters routinely run off. The last foreman he sent, even though his daughters are adults, was a crook. Although the girls ran him off the trouble he started, including drug trafficking and guns, lingers on. In this latest novel, Jo is under her sisters watch because she was involved in deadly violence in the previous book of this series. But she's determined to show everyone she is tough, resilient and capable. Enter Hunter Powell, SEAL sniper, currently sent on a mission to Two Willows to win over Jo's heart. But with her recalcitrance, his bossiness and their age difference (he's 34), is this the match the General thinks is made in heaven? Through challenging situations, evolving emotions and family dilemmas Hunter & Jo realize what they have together. And Two Willows becomes their loving home despite the odds. Beautiful development of a loving, loyal couple.
