Product Description

CEO Aiden Kelley’s life of billionaire extravagance is flipped upside down when his ex shows up with a ten-year-old she claims is his. Totally out of his element and losing the control so integral to his success, he needs help. To top it all off, the only constant woman in his life, his executive assistant, has given notice just when he needs her help to survive his newfound fatherhood.

Chelsea Houston is an executive assistant, not a nanny. The only person more clueless about kids is her boss. Helping him on a daddy-daughter road trip is her last task before he’ll accept her two weeks’ notice and she can be free of the infuriating man she’s had a crush on for longer than she’d admit.

Aiden’s carefully ordered life has never been so disorganized, and he’s suddenly tempted by the things he thought he could never have. Things like love and family. Who knew chaos could be so damn fun?

Each book in the The Billionaire Dynasties series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, but Chelsea forgave Aiden too easily 2 June 2017

This is a good romance, and I really liked Chelsea and the little girl -- but I had trouble understanding why Chelsea forgave Aiden so easily. He should have had to do a lot more groveling, with a much more sincere apology. It also really bothered me that she let him blame her for the problem in the first place, since it wasn't her fault. Except for those two things, the romance was good. I did love Aiden's daughter, she was just adorable -- it was fun that she helped him win Chelsea back at the end.

Chelsea Houston is the administrative assistant to CEO Aiden Kelley, nicknamed the "Irish Prince" by the media. She has given him her resignation (again) and is determined that this time she is following through with it. The last straw for her was finding a bra draped across her office chair! When a well known model/actress turns up with a ten year old in tow and claims that the child belongs to Aiden, things take a strange turn. Because the child has a passion for rocks and wants to visit the Grand Canyon, Aiden decides to take a road trip across the country and bribes Chelsea into accompanying them. The road trip is funny and I enjoyed Aidan's strange quirks and the way that Chelsea dealt with them. It seems his famous controlling ways are really a cover up for his anxieties. (Sometimes a little imperfection makes a hero just a little more perfect!) The daughter, Waverley, was the high point of the book for me. She was cute, funny, and smart without being obnoxious. However, there were things about the book that really did bother me. *****************POSSIBLE SPOILERS**************Waverlery's mother shows up when she is 10 years old and is asking for money from Aiden. She comes from a wealthy family and has made a lot of money herself over the years. When asked why she wants the money (it doesn't seem to be a tremendous amount), she acts a little nervous and will only say it is for Waverley's future. It just seems "off" and makes you think there is something more going on that is never explained. Later in the book Aiden blames Chelsea for something that was totally not her fault and treats then treats coldly, even telling her that she can leave without working the remainder of her notice. However, he then blocks her from getting other employment, saying that she is still under contract. He told her to leave! All she had to do was threaten to sue! And, this is while he is trying to convince Waverley's mother to marry him! What the heck?********END SPOILERS********* The last chapter and the epilogue was just a little too schmaltzy for my taste. I did like the author's writing style and for the most part, her characters were really well done. I will probably try another of her books.

Sexual situations may offend some readers.
2.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, funny, light romance 5 June 2017

A sweet story about a boss and his assistant. My only complaint was the inconsistencies between Aidan saying he'd always felt something and then saying he never saw Chelsea "in that light". It was disconcerting but the story was still cute and light. I would recommend to those that are looking for a quick light hearted love story about a controlling man, his enamored assistant and a funny ten year old thrown in the mix.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good read 5 June 2017

Written with insight a good touch of humor and of course what we all want romance. Aiden and Chelsea are fun leads in this charming tale with an interesting twist. When reading these romantic stories you need to lose yourself in the writers imagination and not try to put it in context of the real world. If you are able to do that you will love this story. Don't take my word for it, Buy the book and read it for yourself.

Nicely paced story with likeable characters. Fun story, quick read. I like how it mixes characters from the other book.
