You have a sacred gift – the knower who can lead you to fulfillment, joy and a sense of strong self-worth and confidence.
This powerful component of every great success…
- Already resides in you,
- Is always present, and
- You know and use it every day
Develop it – and you will experience life (and the myriad of decisions you face) – at both work and home – with far more ease, far less stress and far greater satisfaction.
Unfortunately, part of our culture is built upon the notion that no such inner knowledge exists. Those foolish ideas of the rational mind as the only provider of answers, often limit your own use of your inner abilities and knowledge – Your Sacred Gift.
Einstein said (paraphrased):
“Your intuitive mind is a sacred gift. Your rational mind a loyal servant. Our culture honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
What is the difference between the intuitive mind and the rational mind and what are the roles of each?
Your intuitive mind sees the big picture, the possibilities that are, or can be, in your future. The intuitive mind is not caught up as much in what is as it is in what can be.
Einstein is saying that your intuitive mind is the leader and your rational mind the servant. He is not suggesting that we drop or minimize the rational mind, but rather put it in its proper context, as the doer, not the seer.
Call this sacred gift God, the divine, the Self or simply the intuitive self. It doesn’t matter. You don’t have to live your life by trial and error. You don’t have to live your life following the advice of others who don’t walk in your shoes.
We all have the intuitive mind, but as Einstein suggests, we leave it behind at a very early age.
Think about your early childhood. If you’re like me, choices were fairly simple. You followed your bliss. And your intuition probably led the way.
Then, the outsiders in your life, your parents, your school, your friends, your culture, all began to put the chains on and, if you’re like me, you gradually gave up your freedom… and your intuitive mind.
I had hit bottom after what some would call great successes. I realized that I could no longer live my life by trial and error. I had to make better choices in life. I had hurt too many and lost too much.
So, I began a seven-year journey to learn as much as I could about this mysterious power called intuition. The journey included in-depth interviews with over 80 people from all walks of life. I was able to identify a dozen of those people who live their life primarily by following their intuitive guide.
Three of these profiles are covered in this book: An internationally acclaimed artist and his wife, a successful Silicon Valley venture capitalist and a three star general. Each of these people live the life Einstein suggests. Their intuitive mind leads, their rational mind follows.
Intuition – Your Sacred Gift is book I in a three part series. It’s purpose is to reveal in you, your intuitive mind – Your Sacred Gift.
