1.0 out of 5 stars Poor audio with connectivity issues, such a missed opportunity.
By Luke Attenborough on 22 October 2019
I have multiple amazon echo devices that I like to do multi rooom audio with and previously had an old powered home theatre subwoofer connected to a echo dot set up in a speaker group and that worked great, so when that subwoofer failed I figured I'd go with the echo sub.

The audio out of this is doofy and will not play below (to my ears) 80hz so yes if you like massive amounts of mid ass you might like this but I don't and that's if you can get it to play at all, I have 6 echo's and they have never had a problem playing in sync but as soon as I added the sub my multi group keeps disspearing from Spotify and even once I get it playing random echo's will drop off or they will all go silent and then randomly start playing again 2 minutes later.

I will be finding another home theatre subwoofer to plug into my echo dot and selling the echo subwoofer it's not worth your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic upgrade to Amazon's Echo
By DTB on 18 May 2019
We have a fairly large and open games room with wooden floors and utilise an Amazon Echo as our primary music playing device. Due to the size of the room, the Echo's sound came out hollow and weak. This is not a fault of the Echo which sounds great in our other rooms - it's just that this room needs a bit more than a single Echo.

I have now paired our Echo with a second one (for stereo) and added an Echo Sub for extra bass. I have to say that the change is incredible. The stereo pair combined with the sub completely fills the room with sound. The sub adds that just needed extra bass.

Highly recommend purchasing one regardless of your room size to add that extra bass for music. We were that impressed with the results that we have since purchased a second sub for our other Alexa in the bedroom.
