Just finished this and as Olivia so politely puts it during the book "I'm going to grab that b**** by the ovaries and use them to rip her uterus out through her nose" right now that's how I feel about Tricia Daniels, without giving too much away how could she do that to me, I kept trying to turn the page before realising it was the end of book one. I was enthralled by this book and it's a book not a novella but a long book but you don't notice as you get caught up in the story of Olivia and Ethan, soul mates somehow tied through time, but messed up in the here and now.
Ethan, what can I say but where an I find my own gorgeous Irishman who can dish out such corny lines as ".. Being around you seems to calm my inner turmoil" and yet they sound, and are so sincere. And with a wonderful accent to boot.
Olivia is struggling with demons from the past, allowing them to control her present and until she meets Ethan her future., there were definitely times when I just wanted to shake her and say get over it, while at the same time understanding why she acted the way she did. We can all be so unsure of ourselves that we listen to others and allow their opinions to sway our actions.
This is all written in the third person, that's the reason for the four not five star, sometimes it just misses the mark on this. Third person is extremely hard to write and becoming less popular, most of the time it's spot on but in a few scenes it's just not up to par. But overall it well written and you certainly become invested in all the characters, Rachel and Scott, Meagan, John and Shannon, all become alive and you become a part of their lives. And now I'm anxiously awaiting book two of the series.
I received a free copy for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Control Freak Done Right 20 March 2014
By Jaime Collins - Published on Amazon.com

I did not see that ending coming!!
Crap, this book...this book was so freaking good.
I was introduced to Tricia Daniels (virtually/metaphorically...I haven't actually spoken with her online or in real life) through her feud (all in good fun) with Ren Alexander (Chasing the Wild Sparks) on Facebook.
I read and loved Ren's books so I decided that to really be fair in participating in said feud that I should probably read her book too.
So glad I did.
I can't lie, at first I thought this was going to be just another 50 Shades/This Man type of book. I loved both of those series by the way, so that's not a bad thing. However, this was so not the same. Finally, finally we meet a control freak who can also be light-hearted, playful, friendly and not be a complete a-hole more often than not. Can I also point out that Ethan is the type of rich dom I can deal with. He has plenty of money to live very comfortably but he's not some uptight, posh, pretentious jerk. He dines at pubs and bars and goes to regular old dance clubs. He doesn't live in some ridiculous mansion that's clearly too ginormous for a playboy bachelor. He drives a Dodge Challenger for goodness sake, my dream car. I loved everything about him! I love that while this story had a "meant to be/soulmates from the start" kind of vibe it didn't play out like that. The story flowed at a perfect pace without Olivia and Ethan's relationship moving too quickly or in a contrived manner. How did Ethan say some of the cheesiest, make me roll my eyes kind of lines and not rub me the wrong way. I don't have these answers.
The only answer I have is that you should read this book, read it now, tell your friends about it. Tell your friend's friend'a about it and then come back and tell me about it because I'm totally willing to rehash this story repeatedly to anyone who will listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 Star Review, A Must Read!!! 4 December 2013

10 Star Review!!

This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. I was captured by the magic of it from the first page.

Ethan is a strong, dominant, yet romantic, loving Irish Alpha male, with his own set of issues and Olivia is a woman who is broken, but still needs and craves love and submission in her life. Yet this book is not really about BDSM. It is about two souls that are tied together for always, if only they can figure that out. Throw in some shared dreams, wonderful friends, a few parties who try and screw things up for Ethan and Liv, and one crazy grey haired old lady and you have story of a lifetime!

This story made me love and hate the characters at the same time. There were times I almost threw my iPad in frustration, yet to only go to the next page and fall back in love. Tricia has written the ultimate story, filled with fear, happiness, trust, distrust, jealousy, tears, and most of all, LOVE. I am struggling with the way the book ended, but it is just making me crave the 2nd book all that much more. Please Tricia, don't make us wait too long for the second book. This book is a definite must read!!!

I am absolutely kicking myself for waiting as long as I did to read this book! That being said, I am so glad that I waited until just before the release of the second book in this series but I don't think I could've waited so long to find out what happens next.

Yes, this book is long, there you've been warned, but not a single word is wasted or used as filler. Each passage and detail adds something of importance to the story- and what a story it is. Yes, it is told from more than on POV, there are multiple, but the change is easy to follow and flows smoothly. While that writing style isn't always the easiest to follow, here it works. It allowed me to understand the emotions behind the actions that much better.

I was really able to connect with both of the main characters. Olivia and her fear rooted insecurities only made her that much more relate-able. Except, according to Ethan, it made her stubborn. Ethan with his temper and flirty ways fell and fell hard. I loved how she calmed him and he brought out her confidence (most of the time). His charm got him into some, well deserved, trouble. Lucky for Ethan, Olivia is as kind-hearted and forgiving as she is. I loved when they had their playful moments together, it gave some lightness to some of the heavy topics covered in the story. As did the cast of secondary characters, Rachel, Scott and John.

Oh, the emotions. Intractable Souls took me on such a roller coaster that I wasn't sure which way was up most of the time. I laughed, cried, had my heart ripped out, put back in, and torn out a few more times. Tricia Daniels gave me a literary slap across the face, shrugged her shoulders and kept on writing. And kudos to her for not taking the easy way out and giving Ethan & Olivia a fairytale ending. Their love story is far from over and I for one can not wait to see what unfold for them after the debacle that the book ended with.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new sexy, Irish boyfriend! 2 February 2015

I loved, loved, loved this book and Ethan O'Connell. Olivia James is recovering from a long-term abusive relationship. She is wounded and genially lacks self-worth. When Olivia's friend ask her to attend her a "football" game in her place to support her husband, Olivia agrees. Little did she know that her life would change at that game. Enter Ethan O'Connell. Ethan is a hot-shop business man from Ireland that is her best-friends husband's new boss. He has been staying with Olivia's friends for the past month-her friends have been keeping them apart because they know Ethan will be drawn to Olivia; they are trying to protect Olivia from the potential heart-breaker Ethan. Olivia finds herself immediately attracted to Ethan but thinks he is trouble; big trouble. Ethan relentless pursues Olivia. Olivia tries to protect her heart but she is falling for Ethan. She can only hope that he doesn't break her heart.
This book has off the charts sexual chemistry, suspense, conflict between Ethan (who is a true alpha-male)and Olivia (who is the definition of stubborn), and is just an overall well-written book.

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING 22 August 2014
By B&BBB Book Blog - Published on Amazon.com

Intractable souls is the first installment in the bound for Ireland series by Tricia Daniels. We recommend you read this book to begin the soul searching journey with Ethan and Olivia. The book is written in 3rd person to get a great range of all the characters feelings.

Olivia James comes across as a woman who is unsure of herself and doesn’t know if she can move on with her love life ever again, after all her past relationship was pretty traumatic. She meets sexy Ethan O’Connell and he pushes buttons on Olivia that isn’t meant to be pushed, and it begins the best sexual tension ever! Olivia is always contradicting herself, one minute she is acting all insecure and the next minute she comes back with sassy, confident comments to get under Ethan’s skin. She leaves your head spinning and makes you want to reach thru your kindle and shake some sense into her. Their friendship turns to more because they both feel the internal pull that they are meant to be together, but Olivia refuses to classify their relationship and this only causes them sadness and heartache in the end.
Ethan O’Connell who is every woman’s dream with those breath taking green eyes and sexy Irish accent feels the connection right away to Olivia. He knows somehow he is destined to be with this stubborn woman and tries to fight thru her past to make her realize how great they are together, but he also is struggling with a major problem of his own past and hasn’t confronted Olivia about it due to fear of losing her. These two are both haunted by their secrets and because of this it keeps them from joining their souls together as the universe has been trying to do.

First thing we’re going to say is buy this book! You will not be disappointed and you will be begging the author to release the next one because you are so much in love with the characters. We have read a lot of books but Ethan and Oliva just became the new favorite couple! This book is written very well and maintains a fast past story. You will have every emotion available to human kind and it makes you want more of Ethan and Olivia. We didn’t want to leave any spoilers, but will tell you the book does end on a cliffhanger. We can’t wait for the next book to come out and find out if soul mates due exist!

We highly recommend this book! Can 10 stars be given, that’s what we would rate it. If you are looking for a book that is all sassy, romantic and steamy than please read all about this sexy Irishman!
