Oh my goodness!! Had me wanting more from the beginning. Torn between reading slowly to savour every page and the inability to put the book down (until I got too scared to read more one night).
Intricate plot, beautifully written. Seemingly a stand alone book but as it develops you recognise a couple of characters, which adds to the books strength and twist at the end. I’d half guessed the end as I couldn’t stop myself scanning ahead but still wasn’t ready for the subtle twist that had been evident from Chapter One, and had to think about it for a day or two later to fully get it clear in my head ... which by then was questioning my own experience of the novel and my own reality.
In summary it was excellent and I will wait with baited breath for the next book from this exceptional author.

ConfusingReviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2020
I’ve read all Carrisi’s books to date and enjoyed them all. This one I found somewhat confusing and it left me wondering just when I’d lost the plot. When I’ve got through all the books I ordered from Amazon during lockdown I’ll read it again to see if it I get a clearer understanding of what actually happened at the end.

I recommend this book to you if you like a challenge. The story is very scary with a fabulous twist at the end.

Another brillant book from CarrisiReviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 May 2020
I have read all his books and I think I liked this one the best. I tried to take my time reading it but had to keep going back to it so it was read in a couple of days. Twist and turns in abundance. Highly recommended.
